Next morning, Darsh collected his spectacles from the optical shop. As he walked out Inspector Ghosh arrived at him in his car.
" Are going to the office? " Ghosh asked.
" It's weekend. Saturday is off. "
" Did you have breakfast. "
" I would love to if I don't have to pay. "
Darsh and Ghosh sat before each other at the window table in a bristo restaurant. A waitress came to them.
She asked, " Orders sir? "
Ghosh said, " Two bread taste and a tea. Please. "
He asked Darsh, " What about you? "
He replied, " Two pair of cheese bread. "
She said, " Sure. "
The waitress left with the order book in her hand.
Darsh asked, " A little bird told me that the driver has been killed. "
" Yep. You heard it right. The news has been circulating in the town. Your name would be in the headline soon. "
" Don't blame me again officer. "
" You were the only one who had seen him out of the prison. It could be the possibility that you might have murdered for a revenge. "
" If I had to murder him, I would have killed him the day when I had seen him there. "
A silver SUV stopped at a roadside near the restaurant. The window glasses were slided down as if someone was having a watch on them through the window.
The waitress came to them with the order in a tray. She kept the toast and tea in front of Inspector Ghosh and the cheese bread with Darsh.
Darsh said, " Thank you. "
The waitress smiled at him and left with the larger tray. Ghosh had a sip of tea and took out a paper which had a list of passengers. He unfolded the paper and kept it in front of Darsh.
Ghosh said, " It's the list of passengers who had booked his cab during the night of his murder. "
Ghosh encircled the name of NEEL OBEROI who was the last passenger.
Darsh said, " Neel Oberoi."
" Neel Oberoi. Do you remember anything which links the name with Naina's murder? "
Darsh got a remainder of Mr. Joshi. Mr. Joshi had told him about Mr. Oberoi who was his lawyer.
Darsh said, " Mr. Oberoi. He could be a lawyer to Mr. Joshi. "
Inspector Yuvraj went upstairs of the hospital. He entered the room where Mr. Joshi was lying dead. Two junior cops and a few hospital staff were also present in the room.
A young sub inspector Ravi came to him and showed him the notes.
Ravi told him, " The man had shut down the oxygen supply from the machine. "
Yuvraj took the notes and walked towards a nurse.
He asked, " Didn't you see him? "
She answered, " No. I was in the other corridor. "
At ground floor, the receptionist handed over Yuvraj a black and white footage photo of the assassin who had came to visit Mr. Joshi. He looked at the photo and received a call.
Ghosh and Darsh walked out of the bristo. Ghosh went to his car. He sat inside, fasten the seat belt and ignited the car. Darsh was about to open his car door, he received a call from his daughter's school.
He attended the call.
The female teacher asked, " I am talking to Mr. Darsh Agarwal. "
" Yep. "
" Well, Mr. Agarwal this is to inform you that the parents teacher meeting is going to held next friday. "
Darsh turned around slightly on his left where he spotted the silver SUV at the roadside. Two middle aged men walked out with handguns in their hand. They were approaching to Inspector Ghosh's car.
The teacher continued, " Mr. Agarwal, are you listening. "
" Yes. I am. I'll be there mam. Thank you. "
He hung up the call and dialled Ghosh's number. Ghosh was unable to ignite his car. He received a phone call from Darsh. He picked up the phone from the passenger seat and attended the call.
" Hello. "
" On your right, two men are approaching towards you. They have guns. "
Ghosh looked on his right. The two men were walking towards him with the gun. One of them arrived near the car door. He pointed the gun on him from the window. The other one stood before the car and pointed the gun on him over the windshield.
The gunman 1 ordered, " Get out of the car officer? "
Ghosh turned to him. He asked, " Do I even know you? "
The gunman 2 yelled, " Follow the orders officer. You've got no choice. "
Inspector Ghosh looked down and sighed.
The gunman 1 said, " No choice inspector. Walk out of the car. It's for your greater good. "
Inspector Ghosh turned his head up. He looked at the side mirror in which he saw Darsh' s car was parked right behind him at a distance. He unlocked the car door and walked out with his hands up in the air. The gunman 1 made him to turn around. He checked his pockets to assure whether he was carrying a gun Or not.
Ghosh turned to him.
The gunman 1 ordered, " Come on. Get with us in the car there. "
" May I ask who are you? "
The gunman 2 came near to him.
He told him, " No. You can't. This is the price for someone's life. "
Ghosh knitted his brows and turned to him.
He asked, " Who is that someone? *
" Your very closed one. "
The gunman 1 heard the car engine sound. He turned left and looked at a car driven by Darsh which was approaching towards him with a speed. He was about to shoot him but Ghosh held his hand and snatched his gun. Darsh rammed the gunman 1.
Ghosh immediately tackled the other gunman and shot him dead. Darsh stopped his car, opened the door and walked out. Both the gunman were lying dead on ground. Ghosh took out his cellphone and clicked photos of both of them.
Darsh went to the SUV. He opened the door and found a backpack at the back seat. He opened the bag and found a fitness club membership card. He overturned the card where he read a word ' BEARBALL FITNESS CLUB '.
Mrs. Swati Bansal received her passport from a travel agent at his office. She paid him in cash and opened the passport which was destined for DUBAI.
