A smile graced my face as I watched Alexius scurry around the room to find her promise ring. It's clear that she has no idea I'm standing here with it in between my fingers which makes the scene even more funny.

Tonight was officially our first Halloween together, and while everyone else was out partying and trick or treating, I'm about to take my baby on a get away.

I'm just too proud of my baby and her way of dealing with it all. She gotta be the strongest woman I've ever encountered besides my mom and sister.

And speaking of that. Alexius finally met my momma as well as her introducing me to who she considers her actual father which would be her grandfather. I did as well meet her grandmother too and little brother.

We handed the situation with his schooling and surprisingly it didn't take long for things to change.

Alexius managed to get boys got expelled from the school to where their parents would have to sign them into a different school. Her threats of suing the school, the boys parents and filing charges against them all did well. Especially since she had proof that it could happen with the lawyer we hired for just in case.

"Nathan," I snapped from my thoughts and looked down at Alexius who stood directly in front of me.

"I will be taking this," She smiled taking the ring from my fingers before slipping it back onto her ring finger.

I bit down on my bottom lip as I couldn't help but watch her close and reminisce on the actions of last night.

Her bent over the balcony as her screams could be heard from miles away. That was a pro of Alexius apartment being on the 40th floor which was the second to last floor of the building.

"What are you thinking about?" She asked, now putting on her own jewelry. She wore a short mini skirt with black tights and black heels, and small black bra with cat whiskers and ears to decorate her costume.

The tattoo she'd gotten a week after she filed charges against that girl was exposed due to her clothing being way revealing.
