"So when you gone let me meet your girlfriend, Nathaniel?" My ma asks.
I sigh lowly as my eyes scan the premises of St. Joseph's Hospital, seeing many people walking around and in and out the packed hospital of Tampa, Florida.
"Soon momma, I've already spoke to her about coming back down there and she agreed on coming to see her family but ian spoke to her about meeting you yet ma," I spoke in all honestly.
"Remind me of her name again?" She said yawning right after. I chuckle at her forgetfulness, I know how my momma can get and she tended to forget a lot.
"Alexius ma'. My baby name is Alexius," I said refreshing her memory.
"And what do you call her because I know you done made up some," She said. I knew I couldn't actually
"I call her ma', mama and mami," I laugh knowing she'd come correct with the assumption she made before asking me.
"I knew it, Don't call me ma' no more, Kiang," She laughed making me do the same.
"Ma' it's a difference--I know but still...It weird," She said and I couldn't help but agree by nodding as if she could see me doing so.
"Aight ma--Kiang--Okay momma," I sigh running a hand down my face.
"I love you, I'll talk to you later," She said sounding like she was going bothering something in her background.
"I love you too," Was the last thing said before the call ended and a familiar voice announced its presence.
Alex walked towards me with a small smile on her face as she adjusted her purse on her shoulder. She smiled even bigger showing me her paper bag, letting me know that they'd prescribed her what she needed.
"You could have came in with me you know," She squinted her eyes from the sun, grabbing my hand and pulling me along as we crossed the parking lot to get to my car.
"I'm sorry baby, I just had a call to take," I say holding on tight to her hand.
"I was only joking, Niel. No need to apologize," She laughed nervously as she felt Nathaniel's eyes on her making her to look elsewhere.
After a walk of silence, The two finally got to Nathaniel's car when he decided that he wanted to speak to her about the research he's done.
After a long time of contemplating, He realized that better is what he wanted. He didn't want to do illegal business anymore and he matured to realize that, doing such things wouldn't get him a lasting life with his lover so he was willing to change his ways for the both of them.
