A man is to be punished for lying to the king. The king decides he will be killed but lets him choose his death.
The king gives the man a chance to say one sentence - if he lies he will be burned - if he tells the truth he will die a quick and painless death.
So the man says one sentence, and the king doesn't know what to do. So he decides to let him go.
