Kai's POV
I'm in the woods just walking around my arm is bleeding slightly. I just got away from the village of O'khasis. The high priest Zane wants me dead and it's all because of my father. I decide to stop for a moment since I found a river. I rip part of my cape to bandage my wound.I take off my helmet so I could get a drink. I wear it to hide my face and my ear and tail since I'm part werewolf and my ears and tail like to come out every once in a while so just in case of anything.

"I swear I'm going to kill Zane for this," I took a sip of water. "If I ever see him again I'm gonna-." I stop myself since I hear something in the bushes behind me. I put on my helmet and stand up. I go to grab my sword but before I could something tackles me to the ground. I looked up to see a man in armor but I couldn't see his face since he was wearing a helmet. He had me on the ground with a diamond sword to my neck.

"Who are you and what's your business with Zane," he asked. But before I could answer another man stepped out of the brush. I am able to see his face brown hair and and blue eyes he also had armor on and he has a green sword with him.

"Garroth let the man go," he spoke in a soothing voice, wait did he just call me a man oh yeah I'm wearing armor and with the helmet on so they don't know I'm genderfluid so it doesn't matter ok back on topic. The man on top of me, Garroth I presume, looks at the other one.

"Why should I? He mentioned Zane so he has to be working with him or something there is no way I'm taking any-," before he could finish his sentence I kicked him off of me and got on my feet while grabbing my sword ready to fight. He falls to the ground stunned, I look over to the other guy who looked shocked as well. I say to them.

"I have not, nor ever will work for that asshole, I would rather jump into the nether and fight shadow knights and die than work for him." I wasn't mad at them I was mad at the fact they would think I would work for that basterd. I looked at them with anger ready to attack them but the brown haired man spoke.

"If that is so, why did you say his name?"

"Why should I tell you all you should know is I hate him now if you will excuse me I need to go."

"No can do you need to come with us," the brown-haired one said.

  "Why should I."

"We need to bring you back to Phoenix Drop so we can figure out what to do with you."

"No way I need to get out of here before they find-," before I could finish my sentence the Garroth guy jumped on me and pinned me down. He flipped me over and cuffed me.

  "Hey-"

"Sorry but you are coming with us,"

"err- fine but you don't need to cuff me."

"Sorry but we can't take any chances with you."

"Why are you guys even doing out here in the first place?"

"That's none of your business." The brown-haired one spoke

  "come on Garroth it's fine"

A few minutes earlier
Laurence's POV
Garroth and I were on patrol outside of the walls of Phoenix Drop.

"So it looks like no one is out here, you ready to go back," I ask hoping he would agree.

"We still have to check over there near the river and then we can head back." He was wearing his helmet like always.

"There isn't going to be anyone over there and you-," I stop myself because I hear someone talking. We look at each other and go towards the talking. When we get to the river we see someone in armor but couldn't see their face.

"I swear...Zane," he mumbled to himself. I couldn't hear all of what he said. I look at Garroth, his fist were clenched. Garroth stood up and got ready to attack the person.
"I...see him again I'm gonna-," he stopped himself. I think he heard  Garroth. He puts his helmet on and stands up. He turns around to look at our direction. I look over to see Garroth is no longer beside me. I look back to see Garroth has the guy on the ground with a sword to his neck. Here we go.
