Chapter 3

After building my house
Kai's POV

  I built my house near the beach. It was two stories and had a basement it was dark blue and white. It was getting a little late, about 8:30 pm so I decided to go to bed.

In the morning

  I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on the front door.

  "Coming one sec," I grabbed my helm and put it on along with my armor. When I opened the door Aphmau was there.

  "Hey Kai."

  "Hey what's up."

  "I was just wondering if you wanted to be a part of the Phoenix Drop guards."

  "Me? Why?"

  "Well since you were able to take on Garroth. I thought you could be a guard if you wanted but if you don't that's-."

  "Of course I would love to be one of your guards."

  "Great well you will be tested at sunset ok."

  "Ok but what will my test be?"

  "You'll fight Laurence and you have to pin him down."

  "Cool, that should be fun."

  "Yeah me, Garroth, and the other guards will be watching to see if you'll be a good guard."

  "Cool- wait other guards?"

  "Yeah Dante, Travis, and Aaron."

  "Oh cool, well I can't wait to meet them."

  "Well, I got to go see you later Kai."

  "See ya." And with that she left. I decided to go look around. I grab my sword and leave. There were houses, a wheat field, and some other stuff not much to say about this village. I head to the plaza and see some random shops. I look around for a bit before I leave. A few people were there and they were all really nice. I go up a path that was there and I see a statue of Lady Irene. As I walked closer I see a guy with blue hair just sitting there. I walk up to him and he looks at me.

  "Uh... hi there my name's Kai what's yours."

  "I'm Dante, how can I help you today?"

  "I'm good just looking around before I get tested to be a guard here. You must be one of them."

  "Yeah, how did you know?"

  "Well Lord Aphmau said your name along with Travis and Aaron since I didn't know about them, since I already met Garroth and Laurence."

  "Ah well nice to meet you. I see you're like Garroth huh."

  "What do you mean?"

  "Both you and him wear helmets all the time, at least around new people."

  "Ah well I guess that makes sense. So, what are you doing up here if I may ask?"

  "I come up here to think mostly about my past."

  "Sounds fun."

  "Not really, my past wasn't the best."

  "Heh my past isn't the best either so no worries."

  "You want to come sit and talk dude."

  "Dude?"

  "Sorry I call the other guards dude sometimes."

  "No it's fine I just wasn't expecting anyone to call me that."

  "Well, care to come sit."

  "Not right now, maybe later, I still want to explore the village before my test, so sorry but I'll talk to you later."

  "Alright I'll see you at your test, bye."

  "Bye." After I leave I go down and find a street with four houses. Each didn't look really different except for one. One was a double story with pink and white all over kind of looked like a unicorn came and threw up on it. There's a sign that says 'Kawaii-Chan's maid cafe' makes sense now. Across the road from it was a house one story all brown like the other three houses. It has a sign that says 'Emmalyn and Kember's Library' fun. Next to it was a house with a sign that said 'Cadenza's tailors' now I know where to go to get clothes. Last but not least across the street is a house but there isn't a sign so I'm guessing it's just a normal house. As I left, Garroth came up to me.

  "Hey Kai."

  "Hey Garroth, you need something."

  "It's time for you to be tested."

  "Alright, lead the way." And off we went.
