Kai's POV
As we walked to a place inside the walls a little away from the village I see Aphmau, Laurence, Dante, and two other guys. One had white hair and emerald green eyes. While the other had a black hood on and a red bandana.
“Hey Kai,” Laurence and Dante say in unison. They look at eachother. “How do you know Kai, Dante?” “I met her while I was at the Irene statue, he came up there and we talked a little.”
They all still think I’m a guy this rules. “Yeah Dante and I talked a while ago while I was looking around.”
“Hey Kai come here for a sec,” Aph said. “I want you to meet Travis,” she points to the white hair guy, “and this is Aaron.” She points to the other one. “I see you have already met Dante and you have met Garroth and Laurence for sure.” I chuckle at her enthusiasm. “Ok so Kai, are you ready to be tested.”
“Yep let’s do this,” and with that we got ready to begin. Laurence stops and asks Aphmau something.
“Are we allowed to use our powers for this?” He has powers?
“Not for this one but maybe next time.”
“Ok, are you ready Kai.”
I nod my head with my sword out ready to fight. He grabs his sword and gets into a fighting stance, this was going to be fun. Aphmau looks at me and Laurence and puts both of her hands up.
“Ready…Set…Go!”
Laurence runs up at me and I dodge it by sidestepping to the right. I turn around and hit him with my sword. He falls to the ground but gets back up. He swings his sword at me but I use my sword to block it. We keep clashing our swords together for a bit but neither of us show any signs of slowing down so this is going to be a while. Since I’m part werewolf I can fight for long periods of time without getting tired. I wonder how he’s not tired.
Laurence’s POV
He’s still not tired, which is impressive. Since I’m a Shadow Knight I don’t get tired easily so I still have lots of fight left in me. I don’t know how he’s still going.
No one’s POV
Kai and Laurence have been going for about 30 mins. The lord and the four guards watch impress that both of them are still going and haven’t even slowed down. Kai swings and knocks Laurence’s sword out of his hand. He goes after his sword and while he’s distracted Kai runs up and kicks him. Laurence falls and when he turns Kai put’s their sword to his neck making him pinned.
“Kai wins,” Aphmau yells excitedly.
Kai looks at Laurence, “ Heh you good there Laurence.”
“Yea but you beat me fair and square. Um...”
“What?”
“C-could you g-get off of m-me.” He says blushing a little.
“Huh oh uh yeah sorry.”
Garroth’s POV
Kai gets off of Laurence and helps him up. Aphmau runs over to Kai and hugs him. I wish she didn’t have to hug him, she should only hug me. Laurence walks over to me and says, “He’s really good at fighting huh.”
“Yeah he is, how are you doing after getting beat up.”
“I’m good, I'm still impressed he didn’t seem tired while we fought so I’m wondering if he’s human or not.”
Aphmau looks at us and says, “Come on guys, let's get back to the village and get some rest, it’s been a long day and tomorrow Kai get’s to start being a guard here.” Everyone looks at her and nods. We start to head back to the village. Tomorrow will be fun.
