"Did your own father really just give you a bad grade?" Ron asks with a hint of humour in his voice Whilst I stare at the red ink in shock.
"Shut up Ronald!" I snap and scrunch the paper up. "He's getting on my nerves lately, especially the last few weeks"
"I like Professor Lupin, he's been teaching me the patronus charm"
"What!" I ask turning to face him
"Did you not know?"
"No I didn't"
"Y/N, any reason why you're mouth is being extra loud when you're meant to be writing up the notes from the board" Dad speaks approaching us.
"So I'm not good enough to teach the patronus charm too. Yet Harry is, he really is the chosen one for everything isn't he"
"No offence Y/N but with that grade I can see why"
"Ron I mean it" I warn then I turn back and glare up at Dad.
"Stay behind after class"
20 minutes later everyone leaves, Hermione letting me know she will meet me in the common room and I remain seated.
"What is going on with you? You never disturb classes" dad asks taking a seat on the desk in front of me
"You won't teach me the patronus charm when I asked you. You given me bad grades, you hardly seem to want to know me anymore. Then again I know why now seeing as you're with Harry instead"
"Is someone getting jealous?"
"No, but Harry isn't as perfect as you think he is. He gets himself into trouble all the time."
"I think you need to focus on yourself and not Harry"
I grab my bag standing up. "I think you need to focus on being my Dad and not my professor. Have you even asked how I'm doing? If you wasn't working here you would be writing to me making sure I'm ok and asking how things are going."
"I burnt myself in potions last week. I went to quidditch try outs but quit after Fred nearly knocked my head off with a bat. And I even beat Hermione at charms yesterday."
"You never said"
"Because you never asked!"I snap as I stand up grabbing my things
I leave the classroom not wanting to continue this conversation and I head to the common room. I spent the afternoon ranting to Hermione about dad and how I don't know why suddenly this year he's acting differently.
It seems nothing I do is good enough anymore for him, Harry however. He only has to so much as open a door the correct way and Dad is acting as if he just ran the London marathon in less than an hour.
