Warnings; Sad, Suicide (not in detail)
It's been 2 weeks since the battle, Hogwarts has been restored but classes will not resume until September leaving students with an extra few weeks to recover from the trauma they endured during that fateful night. The staff is still at Hogwarts making sure everything is 100% restored and ready for the new school year.
Y/N Snape not being much help, she hasn't coped well with her husband's death. He's all she had since their 1st year at Hogwarts and now he's gone she's struggling. She would've joined Severus but she found out 2 days later she was pregnant again so she didn't. Minerva and Poppy being extremely worried for her wellbeing and praying to all the gods that nothing happens. Since the wedding, Severus and Y/N have tried having kids but Y/N struggles to carry meaning there has been a lot of miscarriages. 5 years ago was the toughest for them as the baby sadly passed away at 6 months.
Minerva knew that if anything happens to this child Y/N wouldn't survive and this worried her a lot as Y/N is like a daughter to her.
Y/N takes a seat on the bed in the private room of the hospital wing waiting for Poppy to run her examination. She's been having some pains and a little bit of spotting. Something she suffered from many times. Silently praying for it to be false and the baby to be safe Poppy gives her that look and immediately take the crying professor into her arms comforting her just like she has many times before.
After 20 minutes Poppy watches Y/N leaves and immediately sets off to find Minerva knowing she has to reach Y/N before it's too late.
Minerva rushing through the corridors, a thousand thoughts running through her mind she walks down the stairs to the dungeons getting her wand out to use magic forcing the door open as soon as she reaches the chambers.
"NO, Y/N, Y/N" Minerva yells through sobs as she enters the chambers seeing Y/N laying motionless on the ground, her wand laying inches away from her outstretched arm.
"Why sweetheart?" Minerva asks now kneeling down cradling the body of her daughter.
3 other professors enter the room gasping when they see the scene.
"There's a note" Hooch speaks handing Minerva a note.
Dear Minerva,
I'm so so sorry. I couldn't do it. I only stayed because of the baby but the baby didn't even make it. I love you so much you've always been a Mum to me.
I need Severus, I knew if the baby survived I would've struggled but I would've stuck it out for the sake of our child. But the baby didn't survive. Therefore I cannot do the same.
I promise when it's time I will return and see you again but until then I must be with my husband and make up for lost time.
Please don't be mad at me. I promise I will be ok.

"Welcome Y/N" Albus Dumbledore smiles
"Hello" Y/N smiles back "Where is my husband?"
"He misses you a lot, but I must say he's going to be upset to see you here"
They continue walking then she spots him.
"Severus" She calls running over and hugging her husband
"Y/N? How are you here? Albus you must do something. She needs to go back"
"I'm afraid I can't Severus. Her body has been found"
"Why?" He asks looking directly into his wife's eyes
"I can't do it without you. I would've been here hours after the battle but I was pregnant. I stayed for the baby. But-"
"I'm so sorry" He whispers taking her into his arms knowing what happened to their baby.
"I love you so much Severus"
"I love you too Y/N"
