You and Severus properly met when you were working at Hogwarts as the divination professor. Somehow the emotionless man liked you and was willing to talk to you.
It grew from there leading to you getting married and having a beautiful little girl. You no longer work at Hogwarts due to opening your own business but you and Severus still manage to make it work.
"Y/N where is Y/D/N teddy bear? She's refusing to go to sleep without it" Severus speaks entering the living room
You look up from your notebook and he instantly comes over sitting next to you "what's wrong why are you crying?"
"I just had a vision" you speak through sobs
"What is it?"
"The war, it's coming. You die. His snake bites you at his command"
"It won't happen"
"My vision has never been wrong"
"I promise you it's going to be ok. I'm not leaving you" he kisses your head before closing your notebook
"Go and have a nice warm bath and relax"
"Fine, her teddy bear is on the kitchen table too"
You struggled to sleep that night, unlike your husband who was lightly snoring away. You couldn't help but worry about the vision, looking at the man you love and imagining waking up to him not being there terrified you.
Y/D/N is only 4 she can't lose her Daddy. Plus you had a vision last week that you'll get pregnant at Christmas. You can't survive being a single mother to two without Severus.
March - following year
You let out a gasp waking up suddenly. You did it, finally after trying you found a way to change it.
Turning the bedside lamp on you rummage around for a notepad and a pen writing down everything that just happened. As soon as Y/D/N is having her nap later on this afternoon you'd get right to it.
"Mommy I want cheerrryoooos"
You open your eyes watching your daughter struggling to climb onto the bed so instead she taps your nose.
"Chocolate Cheerios or the honey one"
"Coco"
After letting out a yawn you get up and carry your daughter downstairs making her cereal.
"Daddy" she cheers with a mouth full of food
"Hello you, you're awake early"
"Someone was obviously excited to see you" You smile before making him some food.
"Well, I'm excited to see my little princess too. And how's the baby? Anymore kicks?"
"Lots, mostly just as I'm trying to go to sleep"
He lets out a smile before giving you a kiss and taking a seat next to his daughter.
2nd May
You pace around the office trying to stay calm. Suddenly there's a noise and Severus is now stood in front of you.
"Are you ok?"
"Yes, it feels strange having your son kicking when I got the concealment charm on. What happened?"
"Potter is here, me and Minerva had a duel. Well, I never shot her any spells and I left to come here. I managed to knock the carrots out to help her too"
As soon as you wrap your arms around him he kisses your head before resting his head on yours.
"Not long left and it'll all be over with" you speak quietly
He takes a seat at the desk and you sit on his lap cuddling your husband as you both remain silent. It's a comfortable silence though. Well as comfortable as it can be in the current situation.
You just had to play the waiting game. Which started after 20 minutes. Severus announced he was being called so you stand up handing him the small bottle.
"Drink this, then eat this mint straight after"
He does as you say and kisses you "I love you Y/N. So much, please be safe."
"Severus" you whisper placing a hand on his cheek "this isn't goodbye. Please trust me. I'll see you in an hour"
He kisses you again and leaves as you take a seat to continue the waiting game.
You were nervous, many thoughts kept flying around your head. You have never done anything like this before and a lot was on the line. You hoped it works, if you were to lose your husband you know it'll crush you. You'd struggle to continue surviving.
The hour felt like years but now it was up, you're currently on your way to the boathouse, a vision you got when you left the office.
Holding the vial tightly in your pocket you avoid what's happening. But at the same time shooting spells at death eaters to help the students out.
"Hold it together Y/N you got this it's gonna work," you tell yourself as you approach your husband sat against the wall.
You open the vial pouring some of the contents on the wounds on his neck and pouring the rest into his mouth.
Why isn't it working? It's meant to be instant. Please don't be gone, it has to work. As you feel your tears escaping suddenly his eyes opens. The wounds on his neck healed
"Y/N" he speaks softly
"Severus" you smile wrapping your arms around him
"You saved me"
"I'll always save you"
"We must leave, it's not safe"
Helping him up you both manage to apostate home. Paying the babysitter you send her on her way whilst Severus goes to check on Y/D/N
The next morning you receive the news of those who have passed. Harry won the battle. It was a relief to everyone.
But most importantly you still had your husband.
