Y/N and Ron have been close since their first year at Hogwarts, everyone knows they have feelings for each other but they're both too shy to admit it to each other. With the help from Hermione Ron managed to make it onto the Quidditch team which explains why everyone is partying in the common room.
"I think you should tell him" Harry speaks
"No, it will ruin our friendship" Y/N replies as she glares at Harry
"Harry it's been a month stop pestering her. However he has a point Y/N, look at him he think he took the liquid luck so he has this new found confidence. He will have the confidence to admit he feels the same way about you"
I look over where Ron is stood on the coffee table as everyone cheers his on.
"You're right" I smile and go to make my way towards him.
I didn't get very far, I stop when I see Lavender pulling ron down from the table and smashing her lips onto his.
Him kissing her back.
I turn on my heel and run off exiting the common room and going wherver my legs will take me. I end up 4 corridors away from the common room and I take a seat on the steps wiping my eyes.
After a minute or two Harry and hermione arrive both taking a seat either side of me.
"Why did he kiss her back? What has she got that I don't?" I manage to speak
"Ron is a douchebag we all know that, and you are so much better than her" Harry replies hugging me
"He will wake up being back to himself tomorrow, Harry will speak to him about kissing her back and he will fix things"
"I doubt it Mione"
"The so called liquid luck would have worn off by tomorrow so he will, trust me"
Christmas Break
It didn't wear off, Ron Weasley is now in a relationship with Lavender Brown. She follows him around like a lost puppy and they have to do everything together, just them.
it hurts seeing him with someone else but it's something I have to get used to. Like always I'm spending Christmas Break at the Burrow, something I wished I could've cancelled this year but I couldn't let Molly down seeing as she puts in a lot of effort to have us all over for the holidays.
"Harry told me he spent the entire train journey home complaining about her"
"But he doesn't know how to finish it with her" Ginny adds on from Hermione
"I appreciate your help but it won't work. He just doesn't like me in that way"
