I walk down the corridors keeping my head down as I make my way to defence. Today has yet again been pure hell and now I had to end my day sitting in Umbridge's class.
Blaise was busy at lunchtime but promised we can spend the evening together which is the only thing getting me through the day.
I take my seat near the back of the class as the remaining students start to arrive and fill up the empty seats.
Blaise enters with Malfoy and they take their seats but he does manage to smile at me without anyone noticing.
Umbridge begins the class where today we're learning about Vampire Bats.
"Miss Y/L/N, what would you do if you came across these creatures"
I stare at the Professor wide-eyed hating the fact yet again she's aiming the attention onto me.
"I don't know" I manage to speak
"We'll you wouldn't last 5 minutes in the Forrest, will you? No doubt you'll run away crying."
The majority of the class let out a laugh at the professor's remark and I sink lower in my seat wishing the ground would swallow me up.
"Honestly dear why did you get sorted into Gryffindor? I'm surprised you haven't been made to retake a few years. The ministry shall be informed of this."
"Professor not everyone is good at every subject. Miss Y/L/N is the highest in the class for Charms" Hermione speaks up
"Charms is childish."
"You're childish!" A voice across from me speaks.
We all turn to look at Blaise surprised he's spoken up. Malfoy looks angrily at him.
"Mr. Zambi, would you care to repeat that?"
"I would Professor. You're childish. Y/N has done nothing at all yet every week you like to pick on her just to get the opportunity to humiliate her. If you feel she is behind then help her catch up not make her feel so little"
"Blaise shut up," Malfoy says through gritted teeth.
"No, I won't, you know what All of you need to stop being so mean to Y/N. She has done nothing wrong to deserve this. Even you brave Gryffindors. She's a part of your house so start treating her like it. If anyone says something or does anything to upset her I won't be afraid to hex you all. Oh and by the way I'm sure she's the only person in this class who can produce a full Prantronus"
"How noble of you Mr. Zambi, strange that you a Slytherin student to be sticking up for a Gryffindor. 10 points from Slytherin"
"Nice one Blaise!"
He stands up with his book and walks across taking the empty seat next to me.
"Continue your class Professor" he speaks
She glares at us both but continues the class.
"Are you ok?"
"I'm fine" I whisper as I continue to take notes.
The class finishes about an hour later and we're one of the first to leave the class.
"Where are you going Blaise?" Draco calls
"Hogsmeade"
I look at him confused
"It's not Saturday"
"I know, I'm sneaking my girl there for afternoon tea to celebrate our 7-month anniversary"
"You have a girl? Who?"
"Y/N" he smiles pulling me closer to him
Everyone in the corridor around us stops and stares at us.
"What are you all staring at? Go and get a life why don't you"
Everyone immediately leaves except Malfoy and his two side kicks.
"Her?"
"Her has a name, I'm not afraid to hex you as well Malfoy so if I was you I'd keep your mouth shut and run along. Let's go"
We walk down the corridor hand in hand which is something we don't do much especially when the corridors are this busy. but after today's class, Blaise didn't seem to care anymore not that I'm complaining.
The afternoon was spent in Hogsmeade where we both forgot about what happened in the class and acted as if today was a Saturday afternoon and we both weren't skipping classes.
