"It's been an hour Lucius. When did you last see him?"
"I don't know Y/N! How many more times do I have to say?"
"Lucius stop shouting Draco is asleep!" Narcissa snaps
I stop pacing around the room as a light bulb goes off in my head.
"You said she's dead right?"
"Yes"
"I know where he is" I speak and apparate out of the manor arriving in the empty street.
I place a hand on my stomach protectively whilst my other one holds my wand out in caution. It doesn't take me long to find the damaged house. I enter the house stepping over some collapsed furniture and hear noises upstairs.
I reach the staircase seeing James Potter laying on the floor. Dead.
"I'm sorry" I whisper as I carefully move him to the side so I can get up the stairs.
It's all in darkness apart from the room down the corridor, that has a light on inside followed by the sounds I could hear from downstairs.
I enter the room seeing Severus' back to me. It's his crying I could hear.
I go to question why he's crying but the red hair comes into view as he rocks on the spot.
Lilly.
Harry is in his crib looking confused but he begins to cry when a loud noise downstairs is heard.
Severus stops his rocking and looks towards the door. Finding me stood there with tears in my eyes.
"Y/N, I..."
I walk over and pick Harry up having a good idea of who's downstairs.
"Save it Severus!"
"Shh, it's okay. Nothing to be scared about" I coo to Harry as I gently kiss his head and leave the room.
I stop half way on the stars seeing Dumbledore stood there as people removed a covered James Potter.
"Miss Malfoy" Dumbledore speaks surprised.
"It was always her wasn't it?" I sigh
"What do you mean?"
"Y/N I can explain" Severus speaks as he comes down the stairs
"Oh, that" Dumbledore speaks.
"Will Harry be safe? please promise me he will be safe"
"I promise he will be safe."
McGonagalls comes over to me and holds her arms out.
