"George, have you seen Remus?"
"He's outside"
I finish my drink and make my way outside where I see Remus walking around as he looks up into the sky.
I let out a smile and skip over "boo" he laughs as I tap both his sides from behind
"Y/N you didn't scare me, I saw you making your way out here" he chuckles turning around to face me
"You're boring"
"And you're drunk"
"Not drunk, just a tiny bit tipsy" I speak whilst using my thumb and index finger to show a tiny bit.
"If you say so"
"Dance with me" I smile up at him as I wrap my arms around his neck
"I'm keeping guard out here. Something is going to happen"
"Remus, stop worrying that something bad is going to happen all the time."
"I can sense it Y/N"
"Well let's dance out here, the music can still be heard"
He places his wand in the inside of his jacket pocket and wraps his arms around my waist "all right then" he smiles before leaning down and kissing my forehead causing me to let out a giggle
In fact, dancing outside was much better, less people around you, it was not as hot and you get to fully enjoy the time with your dance partner.
I was enjoying myself until Remus quickly grabs his wand out and hold me close. I follow his eyesight and we see a blue orb heading toward us "patronus" I mutter quietly as we walk inside the tent. And the orb crashes into the Center of the dance floor revealing Kingsley Patronus
"The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming"
Once the lynx disappears panic sets in, and many people apparate away on the spot. It only took two minutes max before they arrived. "Go" Remus yells over the noise pushing me away
"I'm not leaving you"
"Y/N go!"
I turn and run to the other side of the tent and fight back the death eaters, he knows damn well I never leave without him no matter what.
I spot Harry is still here so I go over to grab him. Except I notice Remus getting hit "stupefy" I yell at the death eater that hit my husband and grab his hand helping him up "are you ok?"
"I told you to go"
"Not the time, we need to get Harry to go"
We both run over and Remus stops Harry from fighting back "you need to go! Now!"
Hermione and Ron arrive "stay safe" I smile sadly at them all and Hermione apparates them away.
Remus grabs my hand and we quickly run over to join everyone else with the protective shield charm.
"You both need to leave" Arthur warns
"No, we can't"
"You were just seen with Harry. We know damn well we're about to be questioned cause Ron is with them"
"He's right" Remus sighs
Before I get a chance to argue Remus grabs me and we end up back in our living room Remus quickly goes around doing extra protective charms.
"Will they be ok?"
"Seeing as Hermione is there they will be fine" Remus speaks as he hands me a glass of water.
I take it from him and drink most of it in one go. By the time I finish the glass I hear some music begin to play, the start of a certain song in particular. I turn and see Remus walking back over from the record player
"Everlasting love, love affair" I speak with a raised eyebrow
"We never got to finish that dance, I don't know what song it was but I know this song would be a good choice"
"Only cause it's our song" I smile placing the glass down and taking his hand.
Surprisingly we both remembered the dance we did on our wedding day. I let out a laugh as Remus spins me around and I wrap my other arm around his neck as I rest my head on his chest. We both remain silent as we dance the remaining of the song halfway through the second song I lift my head up and look up at Remus who now looks down at me
"Thank you" I smile
"You're welcome, and thank you for earlier. I guess after all these years I will finally accept you won't leave when I tell you"
"For better or worse"
"What did I ever do to deserve you"
"I should be the one asking that. I love you so much Remus Lupin"
"And I love you so much more Y/N Remus" he smiles before leaning down to kiss me.
