"Lady Amelia?" A small voice said.
She opened one eye, it didn't sound either like Lin or Sebastian. It felt older. She looked at the owner of this voice.
"Tanaka?" She looked at the old man, he had slippers in his hands.
It reminded her of the time that Uncle Vincent was still alive. She had spent many happy days running around maids, footmen, chefs, helpers with her cousins. Most of them laughed at their mischievous faces trying to escape while having stolen some cookies before snack time. Her mother was often at the manor discussing business with her uncle and bickering happily. She stayed over on these occasions, she would wake up before everyone and went on a walk around with the dog of the house, Sebastian.
She was sure that Ciel had done it on purpose when he hired his present butler. Although, it was really a funny coincidence that he exactly had the same name, as if it was decided beforehand.
As she wandered in the almost empty hallways of the manor, the butler at that time, Tanaka, would find her and scold her telling her to wear slippers. Walking bare feet was a bad habit for a noble lady like herself. When she saw the old man in the same position but with a grave look, she just knew that those days were merely a distant memory of the past.
He didn't need to say a thing, she simply understood that something serious had happened. She discretely smirked, her heart beat accelerated. She strived to know what happened. She woke up the actress beside her and after putting dressing gowns, they followed the old butler. They arrived at Siemens's bedroom once again, what she saw made her question what was said yesterday.
Irene's face whitened drastically while Grimsby once again ran to her rescue and gave her a hug. She looked at the body carefully this time, the long black hair of the butler was soaked with blood. She was herself in slight disbelief. As she was about to voice her interrogation, again Ciel was the last to arrive.
Amelia was distraught by her cousin's reaction.
"Stand up! Was it all bullshit? You have to obey my order!" He screamed, trying to make Sebastian's body move. The other servants and guests were too shocked by the scene to do a thing. Then he muttered the last part, but she barely heard it. "I haven't achieved my goal yet, you have sworn to help me fulfill it, to stay beside me...."
As he said that, the servants finally pulled themselves together and removed their young master of the body. He was still apparently in denial. It was when it hit her. Her cousin that was always playing the adult was rendered speechless and unable to control his emotion.
There was a first for everything, but as much as he showed that he was affected by his butler's death, she couldn't completely believe that Ciel Phantomhive would let himself fall into this low and not shed a single tear.
Even with her doubts in her mind, she couldn't stand by and do nothing. She simply wrapped her arms slowly behind him and gave him a hug.
"Shhhh ... Everything is fine, everything is still under control, come back here and now..." She said gently.
Ciel's eyes widened but he seemed to be appeased her voice. A few minutes of silence filled the room until M. Doyle interrupted it.
"It seems that he was hit from behind additionally to being stabbed in front...." He said, standing up from the corpse while Moriarty got closer to it.
"It could have been an accomplice that land the first hit and the other in front stab him..?" Suggested Lau also being not far from Sebastian's corpse.
"Then in this case, the Count and Lady Amelia couldn't have done it being with another person and that none went out of their room." He said while confirming it with Irene who approved.
