Steve had been watching her from the second she entered the room, her blue hair tied up, her outfit showing off her curves. As angry as he was at her, he couldn't deny the effect she had on him. She was beautiful and she didn't even know it.

Sam had noticed the way Steve was watching her, when Loki began dancing with her, Steve became more tense. It was obvious to everyone that they were attracted to each other, which is why they bickered so much. Sam nudged Steve with his shoulder, before looking at Rain with Loki.

Steve rolled his eyes at his friend, "don't start Sam."

"Hey, I'm just saying that staring at her achieves nothing." Sam gave him a cheeky look, he'd known Steve too long to not notice when his attention was elsewhere.

"I'm not staring," Steve bit back a bit too quick. He knows his mistake when he sees Sam biting back a laugh at his defensiveness.

"Of course not Cap."

Steve looked back at Rain, where she was dancing with Loki. He wasn't a fan of Loki at the best of times, he was selfish and Rain deserved better. When Loki's hand moves to squeeze her ass, Steve feels his blood boiling. He wanted nothing more than to go and tear her away from him.

'What the hell?' Steve thought to himself. Since when did he care who Rain slept with? He watched as Loki pulled her closer and she started whispering in his ear.

Nat had been watching, her gaze going from where Rain was brazenly flirting with Loki to Steve's clenched jaw.

She passed Bucky another beer, "you know Fury will keep meddling until they learn to get along."

Bucky took a sip of his beer, not liking where this conversation was going. He knew Nat too well.

"I know doll, but there's nothing we can do." He gave her a pointed glare hoping she'd drop the subject. While he loved both Rain and Steve, meddling would end up with someone getting injured. More than likely him.

Nat ignored the look completely, just like she usually does. "Not unless..." She gave him the look she knows gets him to back down every time.

"Don't use that look. Absolutely not!" He took a large swig of his drink, wishing it was the stuff that Thor brought with him. Nat reached across the bar, sliding her hand up his flesh arm.
"I'll do that thing you like."

Bucky inwardly groaned, his pants growing tighter as he licked his bottom lip, looking away from her.

"Is that a yes?" Nat asked, almost too sweetly. Bucky leant over the bar, pulling her in for a kiss, the sweet taste of her cocktail dancing across his tongue. Pulling back he knew he was a goner, he loved her too much to say no to her and she knew it.

"I hate it when you give me the eyes."

"No you don't," Nat smiled as she started forming a plan to at least get her two friends talking to each other. Bucky caught the look on her face, the way her eyes lit up slightly.

"You are nothing but trouble Romanoff."

When Rain and Loki started leaving the room, Steve couldn't help but follow them. It was like he couldn't control his own body, all he knew was that she wasn't leaving with him tonight. It was just his need to protect his stubborn teammate. Nothing to do with how he felt. He didn't feel anything towards Rain.

A very pissed of Steve caged me against the wall. His nostrils flaring as he looked down at me.

"Where the hell are you going with him?" His hands rested on the wall either side of my head. I straightened my back, not wanting him to know the effect this side of him had on me.

"It's called fun you vanilla asshole." I seethed back, beyond frustrated that he'd interrupted my fun and I could almost guarantee that Loki was gone now.

"Don't call me that!" Steve growled at me, moving closer so that I could almost taste his breath on my tongue. The closeness had me feeling on edge, I gave him a slight shove to the chest. Even in his anger I knew he'd move, he wouldn't want me to feel uncomfortable. He moved back, taking his hands off the wall from behind me.

"If the shoe fits Captain."

Steve shook his head, his jaw clenching as his eyes roamed over my body.

"You're not sleeping with him." I knew by the way he was talking that he truly believed it, it only annoyed me that much more.

"It's cute you think you have a say," I smirked up at him, crossing my arms in defiance. He shook his head, "you're worth more than that." Now it was my turn to get angry, I pushed him back again.

"Why do you give a shit Steve? Because you're jealous? How does that make you any better than him?" At least Loki was honest about his intentions. I had always known where I stood with Steve, but this? This wasn't what I was used to. I knew he didn't give a shit about me or what I did so his sudden outburst was confusing to say the least.

"I'm not jealous Rain." Steve's whole demeanour changed at my outburst. He went from angry to deathly calm, it was almost worse, I couldn't read his body language like I usually could. I needed to get out of there and fast.

"Good, now get out of my way." He didn't move, that would've meant something today was going my way.

"Not if you're going to go to him."

I was beyond done with this conversation, I knew I couldn't overpower him he was too strong for that, so instead I slipped out from round him before he could realise what I was doing I was out of the door. I knew his eyes were on me, I'd almost made it to the elevator when he called my name. I reluctantly turned around to see him standing with his hands on his hips.

"What?" I snapped as I mirrored his stance.

"Go to bed," the tone of his voice sent involuntary shivers down my spine. I knew it was an order and part of me wanted to obey him, but then I remembered who it was I was talking to.

"Oh I plan to, you think Loki was the only willing one tonight?" I smirked, it wasn't a complete lie, if I wanted I could've gotten someone. Steve had soured that idea majorly, but he didn't need to know that.

When I got into bed, I pulled my phone out. I considered calling Loki, if he was on Earth he'd have his phone on him. The part of me that wanted to was overruled by the part that enjoyed the way Steve had spoken to me.

I'm royally screwed.

Instead I pulled up Steve's number, hovering over the call button until I chickened out. Groaning out in frustration I took my trusty friend from the bedside table. It wasn't as good as the real thing but it would have to do for tonight. As I got close all I could picture was Steve's face, the tick in his jaw. The dominant look that he gets when he's angry.

Yep. Absolutely 100% screwed.
