Steve's hand caressing my cheek woke me softly. My eyes fluttered open, being met by the most beautiful blue green eyes in human existence.

"You look so beautiful in the morning." He mumbled, his voice still husky from sleep.

I moved closer to him, tangling my leg with his. He was always overly warm, something I appreciated due to spending too many mornings waking up in the cold.
"I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards." I chuckled, placing a soft kiss to his nose. "But thank you. You don't look too bad yourself Cap."
I took in his slightly messy hair and the way his shirt was clinging to him. 'Not too bad' didn't quite do him justice, but he didn't need to know that.

He smiled, shuffling a bit closer to me.
"So after we give that report to Fury. Why don't we come back here and you can show me these Disney films you keep going on about?"

The idea of laying in bed all day watching Disney movies was something I was never going to say no to. It still astounded me that he hadn't seen a single one yet.
"Yeah I don't have much else on today." I smiled at him, until my thoughts began to run away with themselves. The idea of what the others would think suddenly became the biggest hurdle between us. I tried to pull away, but he wouldn't let me.

"Rain, talk to me."

"The others...I...they can't know, not yet." I noticed the way his face dropped slightly as I told him. It wasn't that I was ashamed of what we had together, I just didn't know how to explain it to anyone else. Then people would start giving us their opinions, I just wasn't sure if I was ready for that. We hadn't even decided what this thing between us was.
"I'm not saying we'll never tell them Steve, just not yet."

He gave me a smile, my answer seemed to please him a bit more once he realised it was just a 'for now' situation.

"I'll text Buck..." He began to offer, until I panicked.

"Shit!" I exclaimed as I clambered over him, picking up my clothes from the floor before quickly pulling them on.

"I won't text Buck?" Steve offered with a slight chuckle, visibly confused at my sudden change of mood.

I laughed. "No, it's not that. I said I'd meet Bucky for breakfast, he gets all snarky when I delay his food." I explained, making sure to grab one of his shirts from his dresser with a wink, remembering his comment from last night.
"I'll call you later though." Without thinking, I placed a soft kiss to his lips before darting off. I wasn't sure what had possessed me to kiss him like that, but he gave me a smile so I decided not to think about it too much.

I quickly dashed back to my room, jumping in the shower before getting dressed. Within ten minutes I was ready and out the door.

I burst into our favourite diner, seeing him shaking his head as I walked towards him.
"Yeah yeah I know I'm late. Was a late night." I half explained, conveniently leaving out the fact that Steve wouldn't let me sleep until he'd left me with no energy. His recovery time was nothing if not impressive.

"Funny. Steve was late to see Fury this morning too." He remarked, a smile on his face as he watched me as I slid into the chair opposite him.

I picked up the menu, pretending to study it even though I already knew everything that was on it. I didn't want him to notice the smile I was biting back at his insinuation. It was pretty obvious he was digging for information, but I wasn't going to give him anything.
"Yeah weird, he's never late." I tried to sound as uninterested as I could, not wanting to give anything away.

"What's going on Rain?" He asked. I wasn't sure what to tell him so I pretended not to hear him, my eyes remaining glued to the menu in front of me.
He pulled the menu from my hands giving me a glare.

"Hey!" I protested.

"Don't give me that, you know everything on there and you're avoiding my questions. What's going on with you?"

I hated lying, especially to Bucky. I wanted to tell him, to get his opinion on everything but I couldn't. At least not yet. I took placed my hand on his arm, giving him the best smile I could manage.
"Can you just trust that I'll tell you when the time is right?"

"You know I trust you more than anyone." He placed his hand on top of mine.

"So can we just enjoy our breakfast without the investigation?" I asked as I waved the waitress over.

After placing our usual order of pancakes and bacon, Bucky reached over the table taking my hand in his.
"As long as you know that there is nothing you need to hide from me. I'e got your back always."

I felt insanely guilty knowing that I was hiding things from him, but it wouldn't be fair to talk to Steve's best friend about him. I wasn't even sure if I was ready to admit how I felt to another person yet. So for now it was something I'd have to deal with alone.

"Right back at you Bucky Bear." I smiled.

Our food appeared not long after that and we both devoured everything on our plates. It never failed to amaze Bucky at how much food I could eat. I sat back, my stomach full to bursting point. Bucky shook his head laughing with me.

"Every time you do that I get the urge to ask Banner to check you over, make sure your legs aren't hollow."

I threw a serviette at him, giving him a fake scowl. My guilt from earlier dissipated slightly as we fell back into easy conversation. He caught me up with everything to do with him and Nat, a massive smile on his face the entire time he spoke about her. It was endearing.

By the time we got back to the compound we were laughing and joking. It wasn't until JARVIS called out to us that the mood changed. Apparently Nick had decided the mission to the Hydra base couldn't wait. Something I was less than impressed about, I understood the need to retrieve the sceptre but I was hoping to have some time with Steve first.

Buck and I went our separate ways, Nick needed him and Sam for something different so they wouldn't be coming with us. That made me both nervous and relieved.

Getting into my room I quickly pulled on my suit, opening the weapons locker. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was Hydra, so I knew I had to be prepared for anything.
I loaded up a few trick arrows, pistols and a few knives. Once I was done I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail before heading to the jet.

I smiled as I walked onto the landing pad, no one else was there except Steve. He had his back to me, full Captain America suit minus the helmet. He looked good, and the way the suit fit against his ass was almost inhuman. I double checked around the room before I walked up to him, sliding my arm round him. He smiled down at me, pulling me flush against him.

"Hey sweetheart." His eyes flicked around us, doing the same as what I had when I walked in.

"We're alone." I purred, sliding my hands up his chest to his shoulders.

He shook his head but the smile on his face gave him away. His hands moved from my hips to my ass, pulling me closer to him.

"You did say you liked my ass in my suit." I teased.

"Not just in your suit." He whispered in my ear, placing a kiss against my neck. The air around us became thick with tension, as we both fought not to jump on each other.

The sound of the doors opening had us reluctantly breaking apart. I walked up to the front of the jet setting in the co ordinates ready for when everyone arrived. I could feel his eyes on me, watching my every move.

Once everyone was ready, Clint joined me and we took off. Hopefully this would go smoothly and I'd be back in time to watch Disney films with the man who was slowly worming his way into my heart.
