kate and i walk into the coffee shop we've recently been going to - well, this is the third time we've gone- , sitting at a table. "is this our kate?" kate questions, and i shake my head. "no, there's more in mind." i say, smiling as i see a figure walk towards us. "hey what can i get for y-" i hear a familiar voice say, and i look at him, both of us making eye contact. "will?! i didn't know you worked here." i say, smiling. "oh, yeah. i've worked here for like- 3 months." he says, twirling his pen around, notepad in hand. we order our coffees and will nods in response, writing it down. "it's on the house." he offers, smiling as he looks up. "thank you, will." i say, as kate says thanks too. he smiles, walking away.

"so he didn't give you flowers when he asked you out for valentines?" kate questions, cupping her hands over the warm coffee cup. "no, but i wish he did. he just made a cute little poster, did his hair." i say, taking a sip. "at least you didn't just get a 'will you be my valentines'," kate says, chuckling. "you seriously got that?" i ask, shocked. "yeah, he even forgot what to say as well! but to be fair, this was in 7th grade." kate says, smiling. i laugh, nodding my head.

we say goodbye to will as we leave the coffee shop, walking to my car. "so, i was thinking," i say, opening the passenger door for kate, "that we could go see a movie!" i say once i get into the drivers seat. "perfect!" kate exclaims, buckling up as i do the same. 

we walk into the cinemas, popcorn in hand as kate holds the two drinks. we make our way to our seats, sitting down. "here you go," kate says quietly, handing my drink to me. i say thanks, placing the popcorn beside us.

the credits start rolling and i smile as i was practically focused on kate and i's intertwined hands the whole time. "that was a good movie." kate says. "agreed." i say, reading the name's that roll on the screen. kate yawns and i look at her as she covers her mouth. "tired?" i ask. "no, i have no idea why i just yawned." kate says, and we smile at the same time.  kate and i walk beside each other in the mall after the movie, looking at the various shops. kate's arm wraps her mine as she hugs it loosely, leaning in towards me, her soft cheeks against my arm. 

"this is the place." i say, looking at the big restaurant place. "looks fancy." kate says, looking around. we walk through the spinning doors, kate reconnecting her arms into mine. we order a table for 2, sitting opposite. "i feel like i'm not dressed fancy enough." kate chuckles, looking at everyone else around us in suits and dresses. "no, you're good. it's perfect." i say, smiling as i look down to flip through the menu. 

kate and i stack the plates when we're done, walking out after i pay. "you're letting me pay next time." kate demands, smiling. "i offered this date, it's on me!" i say, laughing as we walk. i rub kate's thumb as it's intertwined with mine, staring at the stars in the sky. "y/n!" a voice says. i look up, seeing a man with a rather large camera over his shoulders. paparazzi, haven't seen them in a while. kate and i stop walking, both of us dropping hands, disconnecting them.

"so, who's this fine lady beside you?" he says, shifting the camera towards kate. "oh, this is kate." i say, introducing her. "this is... paparazzi." i say, kate saying hi. "you guys on a date?" he asks. "uh..." i say, not sure what to say. "you'll never know!" kate says, making me smile. "yeah, could be a date, could be hanging out." i say mysteriously. he chuckles, nodding under the sunglasses even though it's night time. 

we walk opposite the paparazzi and i my top half around, seeing the him still pointing the camera towards us. i awkwardly wave, turning back around as we walk to the car. "what time is it?" i ask kate. "almost 10:30." kate says, placing her phone back in her pocket. we walk to the car, and i open the door for kate. "you don't need to open it for me every time, stark." kate says, chuckling. "i know, but i want to." i say, closing the door once kate's in.

i stop the car in the garage as kate agreed to stay the night getting out. i unlock the door, letting kate in first. "smells nice in here." kate says, referring to the candles lit up around the house. "mom gets good candles." i say, locking the door behind me. "i basically live here now!" kate says, smiling as we walk to the living room. "yeah, i have your toothbrush here and everything." i say, seeing evan on the couch, watching tv. "y/n!" i hear mom say behind me. kate and i turn around, seeing her speed walk to me. "i've just enrolled evan into a school nearby." she says, smiling. "just now? it's 11pm." i ask. "no, like around 4, but you weren't home so i just waited for you to come home. anyways, your dad has offered me a job at stark industries, and i can't drive evan to school." she asks, and i know where she's going with this. "what time does his school start?" "8am." "i can take him, i normally start school later." i say, and she nods in agreement. "thanks a lot, y/n. i'll wake him up before i leave for work on monday." she says. 

"is this okay?" handing the t-shirt and sweatpants to kate after we finished brushing our teeth and washing our face. "it's perfect." she says, smiling. "i'm gonna change in the bathroom." she says, and i nod, walking to the bed as she walks into the bathroom. moments later, kate comes out, laying next to me on my right. "does it fit alright?" i ask as she lifts the blanket up, laying down as she put it on top of her. "yeah, fits really well actually." kate responds, smiling at me. "wanna watch a movie?" i ask, picking up the remote from the bedside table. "of course," she responds, and i go on disney plus. we agree on watching glee, even though we've already seen it.
