i smile at kate's response, turning my phone off and walking to the garage. i drive for about 10 minutes, stopping in kate's driveway. i text kate and she comes out minutes later, getting into the passenger seat. "haven't seen you in forever!" she says sarcastically. "i know right, forgot what you looked like!" i carry on with the sarcasm, reversing out of the driveway. kate chuckles, and i smile, turning left.
