The day was confusing to say the most. Adora wasn't really sure to make of it. Catra was out of the bed before she'd even woken up, which was surprising to say the least (even if Adora skipped her morning run for a lie in).

English was fair enough, boring with a lack of class discussion, but nothing particularly distressing. The only uneasiness that had been nagging in the back of Adora's mind was the weird music that haunted her every minute. It was quite literally a permanent fixture of the school. The sound was rarely disrupted, only when the bell rang.

"Adora, may I speak with you?"

Oh fuck, this is the only thing that could make her day even worse. A so called 'casual' conversation with Lord Prime himself.

"Of course."

Ever the people pleaser, Adora couldn't help but be polite, feeling uneasy tension roil through her stomach as Prime led her towards his office. The room was vast, and so spotless the light reflected off every surface. It was strange, the lack of personalization. One would expect portraits, a scattered desk, maybe a few personal belongings. But none of that was there, the table completely bare and polished to the maximum. She nervously perched herself on the edge of the chair, aware of every move and step Prime took as he took the office chair in front of her. Clasping his hands together, elbows bent on the desk, he met her fierce gaze. Adora could fidget, squirm and mentally scream, but she wouldn't drop eye contact with this man. That was only a relinquishment of power, of dominance.

"I'm an inquisitive man, Adora. Why did you and Catra spend the night together?"

Adora blinked, a bit aghast at the bluntness of the question. She almost stetted for words, for a response to pull herself out of this.

You haven't angered me, just curious is all."

None of your fucking business.

Adora slapped the thought away before it projected from her mouth.

"Catra was feeling tense, first night here and all. And I was a bit lonely, that's all."

She shrugged for an act of casualness, tried to diffuse the seriousness of the fact that they'd broken Prime's precious little rules on their first night at the school.

Why am I the only one being questioned anyway?

"If that's the case, I can arrange for you and Catra to have accompanying rooms. There's no need for law breaking here."

Law breaking? Was he seriously calling school rules a law?

"That's not necessary, we won't do it again."

Prime pursed his lips, both of them understanding that Adora only spoke lies in his presence.

"Very well. I'll let you off with a warning."

Adora slowly released a held breath, giving a 'teacher' smile, as she liked to call it, before leaving the disgusting man's presence.

Who was even monitoring the cameras to notice that?

"What the fuck?"

"I know."

Adora picked at the food, her appetite dissolving as she recalled the conversation with Prime for Catra. A weight suddenly rested on her shoulder, Adora tensing at the suddenness of the affectionate gesture.

"Sorry you had to deal with that by yourself."

Adora refrained from shrugging, wanting to keep Catra's head on her shoulder for as long as possible.
