"Wow," Bow said when she finished, leaning back into the sofa. Adora nodded, taking a deep breath.

"That's it, that's why I left."

Catra stayed silent, perched on the armrest next to Adora, hand casually spread past her shoulders as she stayed near. Adora appreciated the unspoken closeness, the familiarity of Catra around her. It was comforting when she felt like her entire world had been upended.

"I mean, you were pretty badass," Glimmer shrugged with a smile. Adora looked at her, surprised, before eliciting a small laugh. That was one way to see it.

"I kinda was, wasn't I?"

"More than badass," Catra murmured from beside her. Her words were low, but Adora easily caught them, flicking her head to look at her.

"What does that mean?"

Catra's cheeks reddened, making Adora all the more curious. She nudged her hip, silently pressuring Catra to elaborate.

"I'll leave it up to interpretation," Catra dodged her eyes.

"No you won't, out with it," Adora continued prodding. Catra finally sighed, rolling her eyes back and looking down at Adora.

"It was hot, Blondie."

Now it was Adora's turn to blush and avert her eyes. She looked at Bow and Glimmer, but the pair were staring at their interaction with saucepans for eyes.

"Wait, did you two get back-"

"No," Adora quickly cut in. Catra gave her an odd look, and Adora just looked at her with a slight shake of her head. They'd discuss it later, alone.

"C'mon guys, I need a distraction."

She waved her arms about, asking for her friends to be annoying just this one time.

"Poker?"

"Not in the mood to lie," Adora threw Catra a look at that.

"Never Have I-"

Catra yawned, cutting in. "Boring."

Glimmer rolled her eyes at her suggestion being shot down.

"Truth Dare Drink?" Bow offered again.

"If we had access to alcohol right now, yes. But we don't," Glimmer rebutted.

"....Movie?"

Adora's eyes lit up as she looked at Catra.

"Genius!"

Her eyes sparkled at Adora's enthusiasm, the blonde getting up to draw the curtains and flick off the lights. They still had three hours before the call for dinner, plenty of time to watch something.

"Okay, let's flip a coin to avoid fights."

Every time they had tried to watch a movie together in peace, they spent two hours deciding which movie to pick. Glimmer loved action, Bow was a sucker for rom-coms as well as Disney, and Catra was obsessed with Mystery and Horror. Adora's preferences fluctuated, unlike the other three, but she always was a fan of adventure.

"No, Adora's choosing," Catra looked over to her.

"Mmmm, horror."

She required the ultimate distraction; fear. Something that would grip her nerves and crawl through her mind, so she didn't think about Shadow Weaver or that other nonsense. Catra gave Glimmer a sinister smile, who groaned. Bow didn't look too chuffed with her decision either, grabbing the blanket and spreading it between himself and Glimmer. Adora unravelled the lavender one nestled next to her, offering half of it to Catra to share. Both girls snuggled under the cozy sheet, Adora turning the TV on and flicking through various options.
