Mia did not expect to come home after a day with her bothers to find the house empty. It was three o'clock and she knew Bella should've been home considering her truck was parked in the driveway. Mia had checked her room first and found it to be empty. Assuming she must be out with Edward she waited.

When hours past by there was still no sign of Bella, immediately she began to panic and knew Bella would've called by now. Picking up her phone she called the Cullen residence first but found the phone had been disconnected  she then proceeded to call Bella's friends to find out the Cullen weren't at school that day.

Mia was staring to worry and she knew she had to tell their dad. When Charlie answered his work phone he didn't expect to hear his frantic daughters voice. He came home immediately and when he got there he was met with other deputy's and a few of his friends from the reservation.

Mia had called her brother Sam to let him know to keep an eye out for her sister. She knew they would find her, she just hoped soon. "I already called dad, there as no answer" Mia assured as her dad attempted to get in contact with the Cullen residence.

"They left town Charlie" Harry answered as Charlie shared confused looks with his daughter.
"Where'd they go?" Mia began to wonder all the possibilities of what could've happen to her sister.

She didn't realize she was in so much thought that she felt a shock at her fingertips. Looking down at her hands she had a realization. Stepping away Mia tried to keep her panic at bay, as she tried to concentrate.

Mia tried her best to let her mind wander, but with the panic she was feeling, the sensation was overwhelming. It was Jake who noticed something was wrong. Pulling her out of it Jacob came up  to stand next to her," they'll find her don't worry" he spoke softly as he wrapped around an arm across Mia's shoulder.

Normally, Mia  would've blushed at the action but considering the situation that was happening at the moment, she was too focused to notice.

Nodding to Jacob she glanced away and saw a familiar figure approaching. When she recognized her brother and her sister a wave of relief had overcome her.

Breaking away from Jacob she ran as Jacob called the attention of her father. Charlie hot on her tail the two met Sam halfway, "I got her Sam thank you" Charlie took Bella into his arms as Sam assured Charlie she was alright.

Charlie had walked away immediately wanting to get his elder daughter inside to warm her up. But Mia stayed behind, "Thank you" she said as she hugged Sam tightly.

"Go inside, your dad needs you" he whispered into her hair, before letting Mia go Sam placed a gentle kiss on her temple. Mia smiled warmly and pulled away from Sam before running after her dad.

Jacob had been watching the whole time and couldn't help the jealousy that coursed through his veins as he held eye contact with Sam Uley.

"How is she doing?" It had been four months since the departure of Edward Cullen, and four months since her sister fell into a pit of depression. During that time Mia had been staying home to help her dad with Bella seeing as she was having reoccurring nightmares every night.

Today was the first time in months she was able to step back onto the reservation. She hasn't spoken to any of friends or her family since that night, and her dad had assured her he would be on Bella watch and she should take the time for herself.

After a long time of convincing, Mia agreed and paid her best friend Ara a visit. Ara had the afternoon off from school seeing as it was a half day. "Better I guess, she had started eating again and went back to school" Mia spoke as the two sat outside in the front lawn of Lahote house. It was sunny, and the weather was warm, which was unlikely in forks, and the two wanted to take advantage of it by bathing in the sun.
