Flashes of light burst through the air, Mia disappearing every second as her grandmother use her magic to channel balls of electricity-throwing them her way. She had been successfully dodging the attacks when she suddenly miscalcuted the amount of seconds she would have to dissapear once more. The ball of electricity collided into Mia sending her body to the ground-her body tumbled against the floor.
When Mia's body came to an abrupt stop, she let out a small groan of pain, she had landed on her shoulder and she knew she would be sore the next day. "You need to be quicker than that, again." She had been hearing that statement, over and over for the last hour. She didn't know why she was struggling so much, she had been doing so well these last few months. Why all of the sudden was she failing to dodge her grandmothers attack.
"So you've said." Mia grumbled, dusting the dirt off of her jeans as she climbed up to her feet. "'Maybe we should go over the plan? A break might do her some good." Ellen suggest as she stood off to the side. "We should talk about it, we have to make sure everything works perfectly if we want this to succeed."
There was hesitation in Eleanor's mind, but she pushed it aside and straightened her posture and gave the two young women nod. "Bella plans to lead the newborns to the battle field with her blood, and to make sure they can't find her, she and Edward are gonna be camping out in the mountains." Mia recalled her sister telling her the plan, though she thought it was a stupid plan, her sister felt like she was finally doing something to help and she was not about to crush her spirit.
"How is that even going to work? Won't the vampires catch her scent?" Ellen neared with a water bottle for Mia. "Jacob is gonna carry her up to the campsite." She stated, gently taking the bottle form her aunt's hands. Jacob didn't like the idea, in fact he hated it.
Mia had noticed there was tension between her imprint and sister, and though she asked Jacob about it-he stated there was nothing there. She left it alone for now and knew she would press it further after the battle but her imprint needed to suck it up for the sake of her sister's safety.
"And what about you? Don't the newborns have your scent as well?" Mia nodded as she recalled the day it came up. Another reason why Jacob hated the idea of being with Bella. He believed it would be better for Jacob to carry Mia up with them, that way he can be with her at all times. But Mia shut down the idea, stating her grandmother wanted to go over last mintue offensive magic for Mia to learn.
Though it was lie- she was actually gonna spend the day putting their plan into play. She assured Jacob she would meet him in the morning and that Seth would be the one to carry her up.
"Jacob and I agreed I'll be heading up with Seth tomorrow morning, it make sure my scent is masked and it keeps Seth out of the fight."
"So the plan?"
"I've located a spot not to far from where your sister and the vampire will be camping out, we can lure Val there." Mia nodded, her grandmother didn't like the idea of changing Val's mind, but Mia knew that she was trying and was grateful she even agreed to the plan in the first place. "In case she doesn't listen, how do we get her to hear what we have to say?" Mia asked as the thought had occurred in her mind a few times.
