"Ow! Jesus fucken Christ, did we really have to go this way!" Ara complained as she slipped on a small pebble and fell into the dirt on her ass. It was Mia's graduation day and after two hours she had managed to get through the ceremony with no complaints. She was grateful to finally be done with school and she was even more grateful that her sister and her two best friends were taking her to celebrate rather than being forced to go to a party she didn't want to attend.
She had spent the afternoon when the ceremony was over with her dad, and her friends and family having lunch. It had only been her siblings and their imprints and her two best friends all while Bella opted to go celebrate with Edward and his family. Mia was slightly irritated by her sister decision but her dad asked her to let it go simply because it didn't bother him. So Mia did and after their lunch the girls had announced they were taking Mia somewhere for some fun.
They forced Mia into Ara's car not caring she was in her dress and heels from the ceremony and drove her down on the reservation. They had arrived at Embry's, when Mia began to piece where they were taking her.
When Mia first met Ara and Leah, they had convinced Nora to take the three on a hike during school hours. Of course the girls got in trouble later when their parents got calls from the school stating their children never showed up to first period. But that was besides the point. In the midst of their hike the girls had discovered a private lake not too far from Embry Calls house.
It became their own hang out and they often found themselves there a lot more until Nora had left for New York. They hadn't been to the lake in years and this was the first time heading back to their special spot.
"Your the one who insisted on heading straight here instead of changing at my place like I suggested." Leah pointed out as she kept waking further down the path. Ara grimaced as she stood up from the floor to clean the dirt off her skirt. It was only Mia, Nora, and Ara who were dressed in heels and dresses and skirts but Leah remained in a blue blouse and jeans shorts and sneakers. She refused to where something more "appropriate" for Mia's graduation and finally her mom just gave up and let her dress how she wanted.
While nora and Mia were able to navigate through the woods in their heels it was Ara who struggled as her heels would sink into the ground as she walked.
The girls continued down the path and it was the sudden chill in the air that matters them the lake was close by. Leah stopped in her steps as she turned around to glance back at the girls. A mischievous smile spread across her face and before they can react the girl broke into a sprint.
"Last one there, has go cliff jumping naked!" Immediately Nora and Mia tore off their heels following after Leah. "Wait no fair I just fell on my ass!" Ara called behind them as she too slipped off her heels before breaking into a sprint.
