Today was gang's last night in Mexico. What they don't know is that Mia will not be going back to Forks with them, instead she will be taking a flight to California for her school orientation. She decided that she will tell them tonight. Though one in particular she was more worried about. Jacob had said he fully supported Mia-yet he's been distance since he found out. He barely spoke to her, and when he would touch her it seemed like he was somewhere else. Mia could feel him pulling away, and she was having doubts about even leaving.
The pack was having breakfast that morning, Jacob sitting next to Seth and Embry, while Mia sat directly across from him. The pack could feel the tension between the two but no one dared ask. "Good morning beautiful people!" A perky voice sang. Keyni walked into the courtyard, announcing his presence to the group with a smile. "Hey, what are you doing here?" Mia greeted, turning slightly in her seat to face him.
"I just thought I stop by to invite you guys to a bonfire I'm throwing on the beach." He said as he bent downwards to kiss her cheek.
"Awesome! Kinda like a last hoorah before we leave," Seth jumped in excitement. Keyni chuckled and nodded "Yeah, it's sort of a goodbye party for Mia anyways." Mia froze.
"What are you talking about?" Keyni looked towards Mia, confused eyes meeting hers. Keyni had known from the beginning that Mia had gotten accepted to the school of her dreams. She shook her head, signaling she did not tell them the truth. "Well I need to learn to keep my big mouth shut." He muttered under his breath.
"Mia what is he talking about?" Leah asked, but Mia didn't look at her just yet. "So, I'll see you guys there?" There were series of yes's from the group. But before Keyni left he leaned down into Mia's ear and whispered "Good Luck." Before he left.
Mia turned back in her seat when Keyni was gone, starring down at her food. "Mia?" Embry called. Finally she looked up to meet them in the eyes. "I got accepted to the California Arts Institute." She admitted in one breath, eyes glancing at Jacob who was starring into his lap in thought. No one said anything for a brief moment. "That's great Mia!" Seth beamed, standing up from his seat to walk around the table to hug Mia. "Thanks Seth."
"It is great Mia," Ara smiled, assuring her that she was indeed happy for her. "Great? Is an understatement with talent like Mia's." Embry spoke up giving her a thumbs up. "You're not mad?" She suddenly questioned leaving the group in surprise. "Why would we be? This is your dream isn't it?" Leah asked in which Mia nodded. "We're proud of you Mia." Ara voiced. And for the first time since she found out, Mia felt comfortable in her decision. The assurance the pack gave her to make her feel supported. Suddenly the sound of a chair scrapping back against the door captured the attention of the group. Mia glanced back at Jacob just in time to see him get up to head inside.
"Someone is grouchy."

Jacob hasn't spoken one word to Mia the whole day. When nightfall hit he didn't even bother to be near her on the way to the bonfire. He walked ahead of her, Embry and Seth on either side of him. While the girl stay back quite a distance, the world around them quite as they spoke. "That's why he was weird this morning?" Mia nodded, she had just finished explaining how Jacob found out about her admissions. "I don't get it. He said he supports me but this doesn't feel like it." Mia grumbled as she starred at the back of her imprints head.
