"So.." Bella trailed as the two drove in silence. Mia had no idea what to say to her sister. Bella had only just found out about Mia yesterday and this morning she now knew the secrets her friends had been hiding. She was utterly screwed and she didn't know what else would be coming out of the woodworks.

"How long have you known Sam Uley?" She asked and Mia didn't bat an eyelash her way. She was scanning her thoughts as she tried to come up with a lie. Mia wasn't ready to tell her sister the truth. But after remembering the events between her and Jacob in the past, Mia realized it was better she tells Bella now than if her having to find out later.

One day earlier...

"Jake, please... Call me" Bella sighed as she hung up the landline in the kitchen. Mia had just walked in, feeling chipper than ever after a successful training day with Val. After completing her training with the four elements Mia moved on to the next phase in her training. That morning she woke up bright an early only to spend the day focusing on herbs and magic combined. This area of her training came easy to Mia seeing as she had some experience with healing magic before.

However, Mia was so focused on her training that she lost all thought about Jacob. She didn't find herself worrying about him like usual and with the tea, Emily had given her, and a small portion of magic Val had taught her, she's been keeping the bond from affecting her as of lately.

That is until Bella approached Mia after she attempted trying to get a hold of Jacob for the fourth time that day.

"Hey" Mia greeted as she went to head up the stairs only for her sister to stop her in her tracks.

"Hey! Have you heard from Jake lately?" Mia froze. It hadn't been that long since her last encounter with Jacob and she was beginning to forget about what happened until the sudden mention caused her to remember why exactly she hasn't been around at Emily's.

"No-no I haven't" she stuttered. She turned to leave only to be stopped once again-this time by Charlie.

"Alright, we're heading out" Mia turned just in time to see her dad and Harry Clearwater walk into the room with their fishing gear. "Hi, Harry!" She greeted with a bright smile as she stepped down the stairs to hug the older man.

Harry smiled back as he took the young girl into his arms. "Hey kiddo, haven't seen you around lately, you and Leah still friends?" He teased causing the girl to cringe out of embarrassment. She hadn't spoken to her friend since Edward left town and her sister fell into a deep depression.

"Yeah, I've just been so busy lately" she explained but Harry waved her off. "I'm only teasing, I know you've been busy" he winked and Mia couldn't help but wonder what he meant by that.

But before she can ask him her father interrupted the two, "Look after your sister will you?" He asked as his hand rested on Mia's shoulder. Glancing at Charlie she nodded as Bella rolled her eyes at the comment. "I am older dad" she stated but Charlie ignored her.

"Don't get into any trouble please" he begged as he glanced back at Bella with worried eyes. Sighing Bella nodded agreeing she will do her best.

Even though Bella was older, Mia was always the more responsible one, while Bella tend to get into situations her father didn't agree with. A prime example, was when Bella left after a fight with Edward- not even a few hours later her father received a call she had been in an accident.

Mia remembered that dad well, she had come home after hanging out with Leah clearwater and Ara down at the beach. She found her dad sitting in the living room, he was hunched over as he ran his hand through his hair out of stress. From the tone of the room, Mia knew something was wrong, and Charlie had explained to her that Bella had grabbed her things and left- mentioning to her father the same thing her mother had told him when she was leaving him.
