When Mia ventured off to find her imprint-who had been gone quite awhile-, in hopes he was done talking to Bella, she didn't expect to find her sister-alone."Where's Jake?" She asked as she entered the room, glancing aorund for any sign of him. "I don't know-he took off." Mia frowned. "Why?" The last time she saw him he seemed fine, why would he leave so suddenly. "He didn't like what I had to say and went to get some air" weird. Jacob wouldn't have left without telling her. She sighed taking the empty seat in front of Bella.
"How are you?" Bella asked, earning a small scoff from Mia. "You're asking me that?" Bella smiled at the teasing tone. "I guess that might be weird huh?" Mia nodded smiling slightly. "I guess I'm fine, better now that Jacob knows." The idea of keeping
this whole thing a secret left a bitter tast in Mia's mouth. She had been desperate for the comfort of her imprint since she got here but was alone for the past week. "I'm sorry they forced you to not say anything." It wasn't Bella's idea to keep Mia from Jacob in the first place and Mia knew that."I understand why though. Sam was even hesitant about you when you moved back home." Bella didn't bother asking why, she's met Sam a few times and can tell he's hesitant of all people he doesn't know. Especially ones that are made to be his enemies. "I was surprise when you came back home." Bella voiced. There it was. The conversation Mia didn't think she would be having was now here. And for once it wasn't her that brought it up. "I don't think it's wise to talk about this now Bella." She instructed gently, her eyes glancing over her round belly. "I'm not that fragile Mia-I can handle it." Mia rolled her eyes sitting back up in her seat.
"Really I can!" She defended. Mia didn't look at Bella. Her emotions piled up into one jar, and the jar was on the verge of spilling. "I know, it may be hard for you to hear. But I want to work through this. At least before I-" Bella couldn't finish the rest of her sentence, the word of death lingering in the air. Even though the others wouldn't say it, there was a high possibility of Bella not making it through the pregnancy. And she knew that. "I want to fix what was broken." She admitted-Mia felt her eyes softened. Mia hadn't really been around her 24/7 like Rosalie was. The whole time she's been back home she's been traveling back and forth from her Aunt's home and to the Cullen's residence- searching through her mother's journals for any information on this. Mia didn't realize that although Bella had Rosalie. It was Mia who she yearned for. Bella sniffled, her eyes watering.
"Bells don't cry." Mia rushed to grab the box of tissues on the coffee table, pulling a few of the cloths free to hand to her. "I can't help it." She sobbed. "I just, I feel so alone." She cried.
"Edward wants nothing to do with this baby, and Rosalie only focuses on the baby. And I just- I want nothing more than for mom and dad to be here." She cried harder. "And I can't really have that so the next best thing is you, and I've already messed it up." Mia didn't expect herself to shed a few tears. Getting up, she sat besides Bella, lifting her legs so they laid across her lap. Mia scooted closer, gently she maneuvered Bella into her arms, holding her tight. "I'm sorry Mia. I'm so sorry." She cried into her chest. Mia shushed Bella, stroking her hair as her big sister continued crying. "It's okay Bella." She murmured, kissing her head.
