"You did what?!" Ara shouted in disbelief as Mia finished explaining to her and Leah the moment she shared with Jacob. "You told him you would think about it?" Leah gaped as she took in everything her close friend told her.
After talking with Jacob, Mia realized she wanted nothing more than to fully give into him. This is something she thought about for the longest time. But she knew there were things she needed to take care of first before becoming his. "Why is this such a bad thing?" Ara and Leah exchanged glances.
"Mia, this is Jake we're talking about. For the longest time you never wanted anything more than him. The minute you get it, you run the other way?" Mia sighed. That's not all what she is doing.
"I don't know, maybe she is being smart about this." Ara scoffed and pinched Leah who winced in pain before glaring at her. "Tell me if I'm wrong but didn't he choose Bella over Mia more times then we can count?" Leah was indeed not wrong.
"And he knows that, and he's trying to make up for it as you can see."
"Ara, Jake isn't even your imprint, why are you defending him?"
"Don't you want to see our best friend happy?"
"Of course I want to see Mia happy, but for the right reasons."
"That's rich coming from you"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Stop it!" Mia shouted. Pinching the bridge of her nose the sound of her best firends bickering was causing her to develop a headache. "Look it's not just about the whole Bella thing.. it's more than that." Looking up at her two best friends both had their full attention on her.
"Your right, this is all that I've ever wanted..but I'm not perfect either." Mia is one step closer to being fully complete. But after her night with Jacob, she was seeing the bigger picture. For the longest time, she was solely focused on the one person who has never broken her heart more than once. Jared.
"If I want to be with Jacob, I have to talk to Jared first." There was a beat of silence in the room. Ara eye line moved to a spot on the table while, Leah leaned back in her seat folding her arms over her chest.
"What?" Mia questioned as she noticed the change in the atmosphere. Ara couldn't find it in herself to tell Mia what the two were really thinking, so Leah did what she always did best.
"I don't think Jared is gonna be much of a problem."
