It's been exactly two hours, thirty mintues and twenty three seconds since the attack. The pack all piled into the home as they sat and waited. The council remained outside- talking about the possible punishment for Jacob for what he has done. But what no one in the pack knew is this it's self was a punishment. Only one person truly knew what it was, Ellen.

She remembered when Mia came to her, it had been after Val had attacked them, Mia had questions on how she was able to bring back Ara. Ellen at the time couldn't give them to her until she knew she was ready, she had told her that with time she will know the truth. But there was something that bothered Mia that Ellen had saw.

Mia had told her about the day of Emily's attack. She said she couldn't remember what happened-only what others told her.But what she told Ellen was something that always bothered Mia. She wasn't able to take away Emily's scar.

Ellen explained to Mia, the shapeshifters had many lawns, almost all of them had been created by their Ancestors. They each had their own punishments if they were ever broken. Some were flexible. But this one was one that should never be broken. Their most absolute law, was to never harm an imprint. Because Sam had broken that law, Emily would hold a scar, as reminder to the others of what could happen if they break that law. It was Sam's punishments.

  And now Jacob's.

Mia lied above the table, the bleeding had finally stopped, thanks to the carefully stitching Carlisle engraved into the wound. But due to the amount of blood she lost, Carlisle stated she would need more before they can transport her to the hospital.

Sam grew worried that they would wait to long, to put his mind at rest, Eleanor Lightwalked with Carlisle to his home to get his necessary supplies. Nora stood close to Mia, combing back her hair as she watched her "sleep". Bella sat to the left, her hand holding on tightly to Mia's. She had wanted to call their dad, but until Carlisle would return she was instructed not to until they can figure out a cover story.

Bella has never seen her sister like this before. Never so still. It frightened her greatly. Meanwhile, Leah sat against the railing of the kitchen wall, her head tucked into her arms as she leaned against her kneees. Still trying to comprehend what has happened she hasn't said a word since Mia's screaming stopped.

Ara who sat next to her- with her imprint by her side, Embry managed to keep his arm around her, comforting Ara as she comforted Leah. The three of them held onto the presence of each other, as they navigated this traumatic experiences.

The others piled into the living room, all sat in silence as they waited for what to do next. The only ones who had ever experienced a situation like this before, was Sue, Jared, Sam, and Emily. The rest had heard the story about Emily's attack, having it engraved into them the dangers of this curse. They all beloved they would never have to experience this- especially Jacob. But unfortunately that night, his worst fear came true.
