billie started to sort through the bags. pulling out a piece of paper one by one. until she got to the last when she froze. i tried to hold my smile in but i failed when she slowly looked up at me. "no fucking way. i know you didnt selene."
"yes i did soleil yes i did." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ its the next day. im in my french class with billie. she definitely came to school in her new sneakers. i definitely had a feeling she would though. they're actually mad cute on her. her style tough as fuck. green really is her color.
after billie seen her sneakers she wouldnt stop thanking me hugging me and kissing my hands and face. it was the sweetest and purest thing. when i drove her to the park for her car she kissed my hand one final time and drove off.
i had to book my appointment early this morning so i can get my nails done. i have to go right after school. papa said we're leaving for the dinner at 8.
thats plenty of time for me to leave school at 4 go to my appointment at 4:30 leave at like 5 something and get my shit together. thats the gameplan.
"i think im just going to write this letter for Papa." i said to billie. "so i can give it to him tonight. should i ?"
"yea thatll be cute i love that." she smiled going back to her letter. "how do you say i adore you again ?" she asked biting her pen.

"ohh ok thanks .. wait that sounds familiar. did you say that before ? am i tripping ?" she scratched her head.
"i probably sung it to you." but then i remembered that i did. "OH ! yea i did. i sung my lullaby to you. Papa used to sing it to me. so i sung it to you so you could fall asleep. it definitely worked too. you were dead weight when i tried to wake up to pee." i recalled.
"you need to sleep with me more often. that was the best sleep ive ever gotten like ever. what song was that ? was it homemade or something ?" she asked. my face dropped, no way she doesnt know—
"its from princess and the frog.. do you not know that movie ?!?!!?!" i questioned cocking my eyebrow.
"no..." she side eyed me as if i was the crazy one.
"he used to sing it to me because i thought it was a pretty song. now we have to watch it. great. mark your calendar."

school finally let out. i went home to change out my clothes and went right back out to the salon. when i walked in i took a huge breath in. i love this smell so much.
i was waiting for my tech to be free of her current client now. i was listening to music with my airpods in until i noticed the girl pay and leave. i gathered my things going up to my seat.
"hi tasha girl. so this is what i want on my hands. i wanted a mani-pedi. just a regular french tip on my toes." i showed her the pictures i got off of pinterest and she made a mental note going to get everything she needed.
while she was applying the acrylic to one hand billie had facetimed me so i answered.

and i hung up. sending her my location getting happy im finna eat chile. she started to drill down the acrylic i was so close to crying. it dont even hurt i just hate how it feel. after a few nails later i heard the bell on the door chime signaling someone came in.
i turned around and seen billie she was looking around until she saw me. she smiled walking towards me definitely turning heads. i dont blame them. but damn they dont gotta stare so fucking hard.
"hi billie baby. get a chair sit next to me." i said a lil loud. i dont care though, they need to act like they got some fucking home training.
tasha pointed to a chair in the back telling an employee to come bring it.
"thank you." billie said to the girl.
"youre welcome." the girl stared extra long and hard.
getting annoyed i took the hand that tasha wasnt tending to and tugged at billie's sweatshirt. "thanks for the seat." i told the girl, "baby sit feed me im fucking starving." reaching my hand under her shirt stealing a glance at the girls face. she was tomato red and scurried away causing tasha to laugh.
"girl you is hell!" she said to me. she stopped doing my nails and stood up shouting, " GREEN ROOTS IS OFF THE MARKET." she started to laugh a bit, "STOP ALLAT DROOLIN IN MY SHOP N MIND YALL BUSINESS. thank you." she finished kindly. and just like that everyone was minding they business.
i didnt even realize billie sat down until i felt my hand in her lap. "you still starving mama ?"she asked with a sly smile. i smiled at her and took a look at the food in her lap. i nodded my head.
so she started to take the food out. trying to place it neatly in front of us. putting a straw in my drink, she drunk some first and i sucked my teeth causing her to giggle. she let me drink some and i did. next she took out a nugget putting it up to my mouth.
"come on feed me baby." i said with a smirk.
