"WAS THE CLOAK NECESSARY? IT IS THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER." Tewkesbury eyed her chosen outfit from behind, hot on the princess' tail. "I will not risk being seen with you or else people might misunderstand...our...you know..." Kate mumbled, furrowing her eyebrows as she stopped walking.
"Would you want to continue that sentence?"
"Alright, drop the smug tone, Viscount Tewkesbury, Marquess of Basilwether."
Tewkesbury scoffed, his brown fluffy brown hair falling over, covering his eyes, "I have a cool nickname for you, you should just give me a nickname too. You can't just keep calling me my full title."
"Yes I could Viscount Tewkesbury, Marquess of Basilwether." It was Kate's turn to look at him smugly, now continuing her steps towards the market.
After sneakily avoiding all the guards in the area, the two teenagers attempted to climb over the huge wall, just like what the princess always did every time she felt like escaping the castle gates.
"Are you sure about this?" Tewkesbury asked in a grunt as he tried his best to climb. At the castle ground, Kate snickered at the young Lord, "Why? Can't climb a wall, rich boy?"
"I-I can," he stammered, taking the wrong step as he accidentally falls and lands on the princess. Tewkesbury's eyes widened when their noses touched, he held his breath as his chest tightened. Kate, on the other hand, groaned in pain and placed both her hands on his chest, her eyes shut tightly.
For a few seconds, the young Lord stared at her lips, noticing how kissable it was. Well, the moment was really ruined when they heard footsteps. Kate gasped and pushed Tewkesbury away. They shared panicked looks before scrambling up to their feet and running behind the huge bush. The teenagers peeked, pushing each other to create more spaces for themselves.
In the end, it was Tewkesbury peeking from the bottom as Kate's head was just on top of his. They watched a Centaur and a dwarf appear where they were, seemingly too look confused and alarmed.
"You heard that too, right?" The centaur asked.
"Yes, I did. No one's here though." Answered the dwarf, scratching his head.
Tewkesbury bit his lip and looked up towards the princess, before adjusting himself to stand up properly, taking her hand, and dragging her silently out of the place.
"Just where are we going now?" Kate asked, not even noticing their connected hands as she had no choice but to be dragged. "I know another place where we could pass to get to the market. You don't have to climb and there aren't many guards." Tewkesbury spoke up, glancing back at her for a mere second.
