"WHEN SKY AND WATER MEET, WHERE THE WAVES GROW EVER SWEET, DOUBT NOT, YOU REEPICHEEP. TO FIND ALL THAT YOU SEEK THERE IS THE UTTER EAST, DOUBT NOT-"
"That's pretty."
Reepicheep yelped, then faced behind, only to see Lucy and Kate. "Oh, thank you, your majesties," he went closer to the royal bloods, explaining, "A dryad sung it to me when I was just a mouseling. I can't divine the meaning, but I've never forgotten the words."
Lucy and Kate exchanged looks with a smile as the Queen looked back at Reepicheep, asking, "What do you think is past the Lone Islands, Reep?"
"Well, I've been told the furthest east one can sail is to the end of the world: Aslan's country."
"Do you really believe there's such a place?" The Queen continued to question. "Well, we have nothing, if not belief." Reepicheep smiled at the girls. Kate's smile though, slowly faded. She gulped harshly and asked next, "Do you think you could actually sail there?"
"Well, there is only one way of finding that out. I can hope I will one day earn the right to see it." Reepicheep chuckles and bows before leaving, "Excuse me, your majesties."
"Lucy, do you think my parents are there? In Aslan's Country?" Kate inhaled the fresh sea breeze, leaning against the railings. "I'm sure they were great people and Aslan loves them, just like how they love you too," Lucy smiled, following after her, "Oh, look! Mermaids!"
The two friends giggle then excitedly watch the transparent creatures. They leaped through the air before diving back to the water, doing small tricks. One started waving and the Queen and the Princess happily waved back.
"I've never seen one before," Kate admitted, resting her chin by the palm of her hand. "I have, back at the Golden age," Lucy grinned, boasting. The Princess rolled her eyes and glanced down when she heard the crew yelling and clapping, "Is that Caspian and Edmund sparring?"
"Who do you think would win?" Lucy also peeked, not even surprised that this was the first thing her brother would do. "Honestly don't know, Caspian is good but Edmund's the best swordsman in Narnia." Kate shrugged as they both walked down the stairs.
"You've grown stronger, my friend." Caspian greeted Edmund and pats his shoulder, laughing. "Seems I have," Edmund laughs too and nods, proud. "That's not fair, I wanted to have my turn," Kate stood in front of Edmund, crossing her arms.
"I don't want to hurt you," Edmund ruffled her hair, thanking the crew who passed him water. "I feel mistreated." The Princess blinked her eyes a couple of times before frowning.
