A WEEK OR SO HAS PASSED BY.

And it surprised Kate a little that it took this long before Reepicheep and Eustace had swords on each of their throats. Literally.

"Take your best shot!" Reepicheep guides him, avoiding all his swings, "Is that it? Come on, boy." Eustace didn't entirely know what he was doing, only going along the flow of his arm. It wasn't his fault he never took fencing classes. "Stop flapping your wings like a drunken pelican! Poise. Keep your blade up. Up! Up! That's it!"

"Reepicheep!" Kate called out, shaking her head, "don't go too hard on him, he's new to all of these." The noble mouse took a second to bow at her before resuming the playful sword fight, teaching Eustace the basics as he does so. The Princess chuckled and shook her head, choosing to join Lucy instead.

But she froze when a scream of a girl was heard. Kate quickly turned around, approaching Eustace, "Eustace! Eustace are you alright?!"

Eustace just stared at her in disbelief.

"Look." Lucy slowly walked towards the barrel and a familiar little girl came out of the barrel, crawling. One of the crew, who appeared to be her father, looked taken back, "Gael?"

Gael glanced at him and stood up on her feet. "What are you doing here?" Her father asked. Noticing her terrified state, he sighed and enveloped the young girl in his arms, "here." Drinian walked towards them, "Looks like we have an extra crew member." The captain gave the orange Eustace had stolen earlier to the little girl, smiling.

Kate softened at the sight, her shoulders relaxing. Lucy giggled and placed her hands on her hips, the Princess following after her. "Welcome aboard." The Valiant Queen greeted. "Your majesties," Gael curtsied properly towards them.

"This is Lucy, and I'm Kate," The Princess introduced themselves, "please just call us by our names. Come with us, we'll give you fresh clothes." Gael excitedly let the two older girls guide her to their room.

"Lucy-oh, wow, who's child is that?" Jareth's eyes widened when he saw Gael, his body suddenly stiffening. "Jareth, this is Gael. Gael, meet Jareth." Lucy introduced them and the little girl curtsied once again. Not knowing what to do, Jareth awkwardly bowed then waved his hand.

"Is there anything you needed?" Kate asked smugly when the elf rolled his eyes at her, "Not with you."

"Oh, what do you need?" Lucy asked with furrowed eyebrows. Jareth eyed Gael then took a step back, scratching the back of his head, "Actually...nevermind. I forgot what I was about to say."
