You jumped out of your sleep as your body continued fighting with the sheets, you can still hear the echoes of the screams from your dreams. You tried to remember how to breathe but no matter what you did you couldn't get the air back into your lungs.
Just as you began to panic a figure walked into your room, he walked over to the window opening it before crossing the room to the bed.
"Don't tell me you've forgotten how to breathe too" he sighs as he turns the light on.
The lights are brighter than your eyes can handle, you quickly search for a pillow and hide within it as you slowly feel yourself regain control of your breathing.
After a few minutes, you move the pillow away, your eyes slightly adjusting to the light better. You look over to see Chishiya standing at the window.
"What are you doing here" you whisper, still trying to recover from your nightmare.
"I come to get you, we need to talk. Meet me at the pool." He begins walking out of the room but you grab his hand as he passes you.
"Thank you, I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't come into the room." You gave him a small smile releasing his hand.
His eyes wandered over you with a pitiful before
he nodded and continued walking out of the door. You quickly threw some clothes on and grabbed a towel, you always loved late-night swims but it had been a long time before you took one and since you were stuck in a cult with a pool you knew you should take advantage of it.
As you arrived at the pool you saw Chishiya dangling his legs in, his jacket had been folded up and placed on a nearby chair. His body wasn't huge but it was still athletic, he wasn't tall but he was taller than you.
You watched as he stretched his neck.
"What are you doing" he murmured making you jump.
You turned away waiting for the redness in your
cheeks to pass."I'm sorry, I just didn't want to disturb you." Your voice sounded much more high-pitched than usual but you directed yourself by setting out your towel and laying back on it as your feet dangled into the warm pool water.
"What did you want to talk to me about?" you
sounded blunt but you already knew Chishiya hated small talk."What else would we have to talk about other than my plan?" He stands up from the poolside and walks towards to cooler where the water is stored.
"You know Chishiya you always sound so condescending, maybe you should start calling it our plan." You sigh and roll your eyes as you sit up.
It wasn't as cold tonight and the water was warm enough to swim so you decided you'd take the opportunity, you slid off your shirt and the shorts you had pulled on.
You once again notice Chishiya once again observing you as you slip into the water but at this moment you aren't concerned about him or his sad thoughts. You felt the water welcome you and you felt some small feeling of peace. The past few days had been nothing but hell, but in this moment that overwhelming fear had disappeared.
You came up for a breath after you couldn't bear the weight of the water on your lungs, you glanced over to Chishiya only to be met with a cold look.
You knew annoying him wouldn't help your situation, instead, you swam to the edge of the pool and climbed out, wrapping the towel around yourself.
"Chishiya why are we here, why did you wake me up this late when you haven't spoken about anything." You turn to face him as he does you.
He lets out a low chuckle and draws a breath before responding "It is my plan, how you feel about that doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that you seem to believe I have this infinity of feelings. It is not that, it is that I know they are truly worthless and will only decrease your chances of survival. I can not have weakness interfering with my plan so you and those emotions you deem precious, well. You need to deal with them."
