"Just when I think we're okay again,
I see your face when you look at him.
I think of you so selfishly,
Want all of your smiles reserved just for me.
I know that I'm being unreasonable.
I'm greedy for all of your love,
And I know that's irrational,
Baby."
Aubrey removed his hands from the piano keys, picked up the pen, and wrote out a few more lines. He tapped his lip with an index finger while thinking of another line. Unable to come up with a good ending line, he set the pen down and tapped out a tune on the piano.
"Just when I think you're both just good friends,
You tell me you're in love with two men.
When it comes to your love, I'm so greedy, baby.
To the point where, at times, I feel needy, baby.
Ohhh, yeah.
I know that I'm being...unreasonable." Aubrey eased into a plucky piano riff, then started to sing again.
"I know I'm being irrational, yes I do.
I know I'm being unreasonable, baby.
But I lose all common sense when it comes to you.
When it comes to yooooou, yes I do."
He turned his head and stared out of the window, wondering what Destiny and Brian were doing right this very minute. Had he kissed her tonight already? Were they in bed together right now? Abruptly, Aubrey stood up and padded down the hall, into his bedroom. After flipping on the light switch in his bedroom, he walked into the bathroom. He used the bathroom, then washed his hands and brushed his teeth. He went through the motions, his eyes flitting over to the tub or the shower and remembering moments that he'd shared with Destiny in both of them. Leaning down, he spat out the toothpaste his mouth was filled with, and rinsed out his mouth with cold water. He straightened his posture and eyed his reflection.
Once he finished brushing his teeth, he returned to his bedroom and drew his t-shirt over his head. He balled it up and tossed it into the hamper near the closet. As he pulled back the covers on the bed, he found himself singing the song that he was working on. Chuckling under his breath, he walked around the bed so he could turn off the lights. His eyes landed on the nightstand on Destiny's side of the bed. His brows drew together at the sight of a small compact resting on top of the nightstand. His hand hovered over the light switch when he realized what he was staring at, and exactly why it shouldn't be resting on a nightstand here in this condo.

Brian had to focus at some point over the top of her head, because looking directly at her made him feel like he was going lose his mind.
"Have you been dressing yourself all week?" Destiny asked him, while continuing to unbutton his shirt for him.
"Yes," he managed to get out.
"I can't imagine how hard it must be for you to do that," she said softly. "You refuse to hire someone to help you around the house?"
"I feel like I can take care of things myself," he said, staring towards the closed door of the cabin. "If I ever feel like I can't take care of things, I would hire someone. It hasn't been easy, getting things done without the use of my other arm. It has been quite difficult. Difficult, but manageable."
