6. Unsaid Emily

Julie's pov:
"Jules?" I hear Luke say
"Mhmmm"
"Get up"
"Let me sleep"
"You said were going to my parents today"
"Oh yeah I'm up I'm up"
I see Luke sitting next to me on my bed. Looking nervous.
"It will be fine" I say while putting my hand on his.
"Thanks"
I get up and Luke walks downstairs.
After I changed I also went downstairs.
"Ready?" I ask Luke
"Yeah" he takes my hand and we walk out of the house.
"Did you like your birthday party yesterday" he asks me.
"Yeah thanks again"
Luke smiles at me. He is so cutee.
After a little walk we finally made it to his parents house.
"Okay let's do this" he says.
I ring the door bell while he hides.
Emily opens up the door.
"Oh hey Julie" She says.
"Hey"
"Come in"
"Actually can we just stay here? Is Mitch home?"
"Uh okay. Yes he is home. MITCH! come Julie's here"
"Yes, hello Julie how are you?" He says.
"Uhm good. Can I talk to you guys"
"Sure, but let's sit in the garden" Emily says.
We walk to Emily's little garden and sit down to a little table.
"So I uh how should I start?"
"What's wrong Julie?" Emily asks.
"Nothing. Okay well......" i tell them the whole story that happend. About the boys and that they came back as ghosts.
"And now they are alive and humans" I say.
"Uhhh what?" Mitch says.
"Okay uhh Julie let's walk in the house and I make you a cup of tea" Emily says.
"And I uh call your dad, can I get his number?" Mitch says.
They think I'm crazy.
"No you guys have to believe me" I say.
"I can prove it, wait here I'll be back soon" I get up and walk to Luke.
"And what did they say?" He asks.
"They don't believe me"
I take his hand and walk with him back to the garden.
"Okay are you guys ready?" I ask.
I take Luke's hand and walk with him to his parents. I see Emily tearing up and Mitch just staring at him with his mouth open.
"W-what?" Emeliy says.
"Hi mom and dad" Luke says with tears rolling down his face.
Emily and Mitch run to Luke to hug him.

Luke's pov:
Finally a hug from my parents. It feels so good.
"I'm sorry mom, I'm so sorry that I ran away. Please forgive me" I say with my crying voice.
"I missed you so so much" mum says.
"I missed you too son" my dad says.
Mom takes my face in her hands.
"I love you" I say.
"I love you too" Emily says.
We continue talking and crying. I notice Julie standing next to me crying as well.
"Come here" I pull her with us in our big group hug.
"Let's walk inside, looks like it's raining soon" Mom says.
We all walk inside and talk about everything that happend. I promised them to visit as often as I can. And of course mom found out that Julie and I are a couple, you can't hide anything from her. She is just to good. Julie and I ran home cause it started to rain. As we ran through the rain I started to finally feel fully happy and relieved again
But with the good feeling the bad feeling came too. The bad feeling for Julie. She will never be able to hug her mom again. I watch her run through the rain. She deserves the best. And I will always love her with my whole heart.

Julie's pov:
After me and Luke came home I quickly got under the hot shower. Now I'm sitting in my bed studying for tomorrow's test. Ugh how I hate math. My thoughts are non stop running through my head. I'm so happy for Luke. He deserves that. I'm also kinda sad, it made me realize that I'm never gonna see my mom again. Yes maybe in heaven one day but not in this life. I miss her. I take a picture from me and my mom from my nightstand.

It was one of the most beautiful memories I had with mom. We both made our way to a field of dahlias every year. It was a hot summer day but it was beautiful. I remember it like it was yesterday. As I was watching the picture it made me realize that I slowly forget my moms beautiful calm voice. This is one of the heartbreaking experience that comes with losing someone. I wish I could hear her sing one more time. I decided to go to bed. Even though all i want is to sleep through tomorrow's day....
