⚠️tw birth and hospital

Julie's pov.
It's been 3 weeks since the wedding and I'm officially over the due date again! I lay on the sofa with ice packs on my feet cuddling with Dahlia. She puts her head on my bump.
"Baby" she says.
"Yes baby" I smile at my big girl. She just turned 2 last week and I can't believe it! I mean whattt! I wonder how the new baby will look like.
"Come here Dahlia time for your nap" Luke wants to take Dahlia but she cuddles into me.
"No no no" she complains.
"Come on, you're tired" Luke trys again.
"Noooo" she yells.
"Do you wanna sleep on the couch with mommy?" I ask.
"Yes with mommy" she laughs at Luke.
"Are you laughing at me again Dahlia?!" Luke laughs.
"Yes dada" she snuggles into me and laughs.
"Rude" Luke walks out of the living room and me and Dahlia take a nap.

Luke's pov.
While my two girls sleep I decided to finished the nursery for the new baby. Since we don't know the gender it should look neutral. It's basically finished but I want to make some final touches. I decorate the room a little bit and after that I walk into our bedroom and clean it a litte. I got a new nursery chair for Julie and I have to get it all together. After that is done I walk downstairs and take a look into the living room. Julie and Dahlia are still sleeping. So I start making Lunch.
I turn on some music and dance while I cook. I hear someone walking in the room it's Julie with Dahlia hand in hand.
"Oh yay dinner" Julie walks over to look what I make. Ofc homemade lasagna!
"Look dahlia lasagna" Julie says.
"Yayyyy" Dahlia screams and she walks to her toys to play. Julie leans forward to look at the lasagna.
"Had a good nap?" I ask.
"I guess Dahlia did, I couldn't really sleep a lot my belly hurts a lot today" she explains.
"Oh wait that happend with Dahlia too" I say.
"Yep I think the baby is coming soon" she says relaxed. How can she be so calm.
"Don't worry" she gives me a kiss and sits on a chair to watch me cook. I put the lasagna into the oven and clean up the kitchen.
"Mommy mommyyyy" Dahlia cries.
"What's wrong baby" she asks.
"Hug hug" Julie takes her in her lap and Dahlia hugs her. Dahlia is a little hug baby. Even though she just wants hugs she cries. She was a very calm baby didn't cry much but since she got older she cries more. Julie thinks that it's because she is growing and it takes a while to get used to it for Dahlia.

Julie's pov.
I hug Dahlia back. My little crybaby. She starts playing with my hair and I rub over my pretty hard belly. I think the baby is coming so soon. I just haven't told Luke that my belly is already hard and hurting a lot. I just don't want him to worry so much. I feel a sharp pain and take a deep breath. I let Dahlia down.
"You okay?" I just can't hide anything from Luke.
"Pain" I just say and breathe. He walks over to me and rubs over my back. The pain goes away and Luke gets me some water.
"Do you think it time to go?" He asks.
"No not yet" I explain.

After we ate lunch I walk upstairs for another nap.

I wake up with a sharp pain again and sit up. Ugh I didn't miss this. After the pain went away I stand up and walk to downstairs. Luke is playing with Dahlia on the kitchen floor. I sit down on a chair next to them.
"You okay hun?" Luke stands up.
"I think the baby is coming really soon" I tell him.
"Do you have pain?" He asks.
"Yep" I rub over my giant belly and Luke gets me a cup of water. I take a few sips and sigh as another pain hits.
Luke rubs over my back and kisses my head. Dahlia walks up to me and I rub over her hair.
"But I think it's just early labor signs or something" I let Luke now.
"Oh okay" he says.

Luke's pov.
Me and Julie decide to go for a short walk. Maybe it will let the baby come out sooner. I can't wait to meet her or him. I sit Dahlia in her stroller and we start walking around the neighborhood. The sun is almost down but it still super warm. I look over to Dahlia she is fast asleep. Cutie. Julie takes my hand and takes a few deep breaths. I support her through it.
"I think we should go back" Julie says.
"Yeah I think so too" I tell her. Julie is in a lot more pain then she tells me. I just know her to well. She always thinks she has to be strong. We make our way back and I lay Dahlia in bed after we came home. As I walk downstairs i see Julie in pain again. So I rub over her back and she squashes my hand. Yep she is definitely in a lot of pain. I take a chair so she can sit down.
"Should we drive to the hospital" I ask.
"Yes please" she says again in pain. I help her through it and after that Dahlia gets picked up from Mom and Dad. They wish us good luck and we make our way to the hospital. I help Julie out of the car and we slowly walk I the hospital.
"Hello how can I help you?" A Nurse asks.
"I think my wife is I labor" I tell her and she gets Julie a wheelchair. After that we fill out some paperwork and a nurse shows us our room.
I help Julie change into the hospital dress and I help her lay on the bed. She sighs. My poor Julie. I give her a kiss on her forehead. A nurse walks in.
"Hello Julie, I'm Riley and I'm your nurse for today." She gives me and Julie a big smile.
"Let's see at the baby" she takes the ultrasound thing and looks at it.
"The baby is completely fine and active. I'm going to check on how far you are" she checks on Julie and tells us that she is about 4cm and Julie should walk around the room. The nurse leaves and I help Julie walking around for a while. I was just about to get her some water as I hear a splash I turn around and see water running down her legs. I quickly get some paper towels and press the call button.
"Don't slip okay" I help Julie sit down on her bed and I clean the mess. After that was done a nurse checks on Julie and she tells us that she is only at 6cm and we should wait a little longer. I notice that Julie is really quiet. I look at her and she has her eyes closed and I take a towel to clean her sweaty forehead.
"Thanks" she mumbles I give her some water to drink.
"No thanks" she says.
"You have to stay hydrated!" I tell her.
"But I'm not thirsty right now" I rub over her belly. Poor Julie. She looks exhausted and tired.

5hours later.

Julie's pov.
"You're at 10cm Julie!" The nurse finally tells me with a big smile. Finally omg. Luke smiles at me and the nurse gets everything ready.
"Okayyyyyy and push!! Yeah good job! Keep going"
I let out a loud sigh. Luke takes my hand and I yell.
"And again! You can do this! Keep going. Yes good job" the nurse gives me a smile.
"I already see the head!" She tells us.
"And another big push okay? Yes great. Almost done! And here it is!" The nurse says. I sigh and Luke gives me a kiss on my sweaty forehead. The nurse gives me my baby.
"It's a girl! Congratulations!" She says. I look down at my baby. She is beautiful her little nose and lips. Luke and me starts crying and he rubs over her little hands.
"She is precious!" He kisses our daughter on her head. I smile at her because she is trying to open up her eyes.
"Look! So cute!" Luke smiles at his new daughter.
"I'm so proud of you" he takes my hand. And I smile at him. I see the nurse still doing something but I'm too fascinated with my baby.
"She is perfect" Luke says. I feel weird.
"I'm dizzy" I let Luke know and he gives me a cup of water. But I can't take a sip because everything turns black and than I see and hear nothing anymore.

Luke's pov.
"JULIE?!" I asks. The nurse jumps up and takes the baby.
"Wha-what happend?" I ask the nurse.
"Please wait outside!" I see her ringing the help button and another nurse walks with me out of the room.
"Please sit down and wait" that's all she says and she walks inside. What happend? I hope Julie is okay. I jump up and walk up and down in the hallway. I should call someone! But who? I can't call mum and dad because they're out of town for the weekend. And Ray has a photoshot. And Flynn is in college. (BTW Julie finished college online after Dahlia came)
I look at my phone and decide to call Carla.

"Hi Luke what's up?"
"Hi uhm can you come to the hospital please?"
"Is the baby here!"
"Yes but please come somethings up with Julie-"
"I'm on my way!"

I continue walking around till I see Carla running up to me. She gives me a hug. And points at the chairs and we sit down.
"What happend?" She nervously asks.
"I-I don't know she fainted and then i had to go out"
"Oh" she looks at the floor. Carla pats my shoulder.
"She will be fine." She says.
"I hope" I say.
We don't say anything for the next 40min. It feels like hours. But finally a nurse walks out of the room. I jump up.
"Is she okay?" I ask.
"She is for now. You can come in" she open up the door for me and Carla and I see Julie laying in the bed with her eyes closed.
I run over to her and hug her. Julie opens up her eyes and smiles at me.
"Oh Julie" I say.
She rubs through my hair. I finally let go of the hug and sit down on a chair next to her.
"She lost a lot of blood" the nurse explains.
I look over at my Julie. She looks tired and exhausted.
"Don't worry I'm okay" she takes my hand.
I give her a kiss.
"Carla!?" Julie asks. Carla walks over at gives her a hug.
"Hi drama queen" she laughs and Julie laughs back. I'm glad Julie feels better. I see the nurse walking in with our daughter and she gives the baby to Julie so she can feed her. Carla smiles at the baby girl.
"What's her name?" Carla asks.
Julie looks at me with a big smile.
"Rose" Julie tells Carla.
"Aww what a meaningful name" she touches Rose's little fingers. And we continue looking at the baby for a long time.
