35. beach day

Julie's pov.
"Sunscreen!" I say to Dahlia and she sits infront of me. Today we decided to go to the beach for a beach day. It's super hot and a perfect day.
"Okay let's go" I say and Dahlia takes my hand and I take Rose in my arms and we walk to the water. It's refreshing but not cold. Dahlia screams for excitement and Rose giggles in my arms. Dahlia leaves of my hand and she runs around the water. Luke is already swimming. I let Rose down in the sand and she splashes with her hands in the water so I sit down next to her and watch Luke play with Dahlia.
"Bbababbaba" Rose bubbles and I laugh she is a happy baby like Dahlia was. After we play for a while I walk with Rose back to our towels and i sit with her she got tired so she fell asleep fast in my arms.
"Oh wow what a beautiful child" I look at a woman.
"Thanks" I say and smile at her.
"Is she yours?" She asks.
"Yes" I tell her and she looks shock. Dahlia and Luke come back.
"Mommyyyy!" She sits next to me.
I see the shock in the womans face and she walks away and i shake my head.
"Mommy thirty" Dahlia says.
"Thirsty?" I giggle and give her her water bottle.
"Thank you mommy" she speaks a lot more since she got in preschool and I love it.
"You're so welcome Dahlia" I say.
"I'm going to get some ice cream. Want some too?" He asks me and I nod.
"Me too me too" Dahlia yells.
"Of course! I will be back soon" and he walks away. Dahlia builds a sand castle and I watch her do that. She is creative.
Rose wakes up and Luke comes back with Popsicles.
"Yum yum" Dahlia says and me and Luke laugh, after we ate we went back in the water.
"Mommy! Look!" Dahlia runs up to me and gives me a beautiful shell.
"Wow amazing" I tell her and she giggles and runs to Luke who is taking her and spinning Dahlia around. She laughs so much and Rose claps. I take Rose in my arms and I walk to Luke and dahlia. Rose loves the water and splashes around with her feet.
"Looks like a thunder storm comes soon!" Luke points at some dark big clouds.
"Yes let's go home" I say and we walk back to out towels. The wind comes and we pack everything up and run to the car. It startet to rain and thunder. When we come home it's already thundering so bad and Dahlia cries in my arms on the couch. We sat down with some candels and snacks because the power went out.
"Shh it's okay Dahlia" I rub her back.
"Look Dahlia we are safe in our house" Luke explains and Dahlia looks at him.
Rose bubbles something and Luke kisses her forehead. She giggles and Dahlia buries her face into my chest as we hear another thunder. Poor baby. I don't like thunder storms too but since I'm older I'm not dead scared of them anymore.
"Mommy" she cries.
"Oh Dahlia. It's okay me and daddy are here" I explain and she starts playing with my curls that are still wet from the rain. Rose snuggles into Luke and falls asleep. So cute. We stay in the living room till the storm is over. Me and Luke talk and Dahlia and Rose fell asleep I our arms. I love my little family.
