9. period pain

Luke's pov:
It's a beautiful day and i get ready for a picnic with my beautiful girlfriend Julie. I pack strawberries, cheese, grapes and a lot more into the picnic basket i got. She's gonna love it. Since Julie has so much to do in school, we didn't had much time for us alone, so that's why i wanted to do something that she would love. And Julie always loves picnics. I take the basket and walk upstairs to get Julie.
I knock on her bedroom door.
"Come in" I hear Julie say.
I walk into her room.
"You ready?" I ask.
"Yup, let's go" she says.
We walk outside of the house. And take our favorite little trail. I take her hand. It feels cold. Weird it's super hot today. I look at her beautiful face, but i can see a little bit of tiredness too.
"You okay?" I ask.
"Sure" she says, giving me a small smile.
"Okay, so how is school?" I ask.
"You sound like my dad....it's good just a lot to study." She says.
"You will get through it"
"Yeah, can we go a little bit slower please?" Julie asks.
"Sorry, yeah" i say.
She stops walking and I see in her face that something isn't right.
"What's wrong babe?" I ask.
"Uhm- I have a lot of period cramps right now" she says while looking at her feet.
"Hey, there is nothing you have to be ashamed off Julie!" I tell her.
"I know it's just- i don't know" she says.
"Should we go back?" I ask.
"No- yeah i don't want to ruin the picnic"
"No it's okay. We can do it another day" I tell her. I take her hand and we walk back home. As soon we got home I take Julie in her room and tell her to lay in bed.

Julie's pov:
I lay in bed rolling myself into a ball. The pain is nearly killing me. Where is Luke? He just left me alone.
"Okay, here" I hear Luke say. He gives me a hot water bottle.
"Thanks" I say.
He lays next to me playing with my hair.
"So how does is feel?" He asks.
"What?"
"The pain"
"Ohw, i can't really describe it. It's not a normal stomach pain it's way more worse." I say.
"I'm sorry that you have to go through that." He says .
"That's okay, i can't do anything about that so yeah" I tell him.
Luke kisses my forehead. Gosh i love him so much. He stands up from bed and walks outside of my room without saying anything. Okay. He is very mysterious today.

Luke's pov:
After I went downstairs. I quickly took everything out of the picnic basket and went upstairs to Julies room. So we can have a little picnic in her room. I walk in and see Julie deep asleep. I take a blanket and cover it over Julie. I also turn out the light. And lay next to her. I listen to her little breaths and watch her sleep. She's so cute when she sleeps. I almost felt asleep too, as I see Julie putting herself into a ball, because of the pain.
"Hey, you okay?" I ask.
"Mhm"
I take a the hot water bottle, it's already cold.
I see tears rolling down her face.
"Hey it's okay" I say.
I give her a kiss and she rolls next to me, cuddling into my chest.
I slowly pat her back in the hopes she gets any better.
"Thanks Patterson" she mumbles.
"You're welcome Molina" i say with a smile on my face.
I watch her fall asleep again. She must be so tired. I feel bad that she has to go through so much as a woman. I wish I could take that away from her, or make it better. As i watch Julie sleep, i think about the future and what she will bring to us. I hope it's beautiful and that we stay together for the rest of our lifes....
