I apologise in advance for this. PPFT WHO AM I KIDDING NO I DON'T. *Has been waiting for this since I came up with this idea*.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~We flew into Moscow only a few hours after the call. Each of us carrying a simple suitcase packed with only the basic of necessities. Or in my case- the 'full of everything you could possibly imagine an angel to own or just random things stuffed into a bag' satchel that I didn't like traveling without. I need an abbreviation for that name. It's way too long.
We took a taxi to Ivan's house. Then, after getting there, Arthur had to have a stern argument about how the driver should accept the fact that he was paying with pounds. Not the Russian currency. After winning the argument because the driver got called in to pick up a much more agreeable customer- we went up the steps to the porch. I knocked on the door using the brass knocking bar thing, and could hear the echoing sound it made from where I stood. Did I mention that it was cold out here? I didn't? Well it was.
Almost a full eight minutes passed before I had to knock again and wait. Arthur was getting impatient and was tapping his foot as his arms were crossed. "This is unnatural" Arthur said. "Ivan usually always has a Baltic answer the door, sometimes he even answers it" He added. "How'd you know that?" I asked curiously. "I've had to deal with minimal amounts of Ghosts in the area most times I travel for business. Usually I run into nests in the area. Snake Ghosts, mostly." Arthur explained.
"That doesn't answer my question. That just tells me we're dealing with snakes" I commented. "Sorry- I meant to say, I come here on business often" Arthur said. "Negotiations?" I asked. "More like Communications" Arthur corrected. I nodded in my understanding.
Slowly the door creeped open. I saw Latvia, though I'm not sure he remembered who I was. So Arthur stepped in. "Hello Ravis. Ivan called us about some magic creatures causing a ruckus here. He wanted us to check it out" Arthur said. Ravis shook his head. "No. There are no magic creatures here. And Mr.Russia is visiting Belarus and Ukraine. He has been since last week" Said Ravis.
"If he didn't call us here... who did?" I asked. "Maybe he was playing a prank call. He does that sometimes to mess with people when he's upset about something" Said Ravis. "Russia prank calls people when he's upset?" Asked Arthur and I at the same time. "Yes?" Ravis replied nervously. "The more you know" I stated. "Would you like to come in? You can stay for the night if you want" Ravis suggested.
"If we take a plane now we'd be so jet lagged" Arthur said to me. "And we did fly all the way to Russia" I added. With that we were led to separate guest rooms and left to settle in for the evening. I pulled out my papers again and read them. There was an updated document that caught my eye. I read it and then immediately dropped the file. letting papers scatter as I dashed from the room and to find Arthur's before it began. He can't think I left him. The contents of the paper truly scared me. It really did. It was nothing but framed lies. Crimes done in my name. but why my name?
"Anna Johnson,
By Angel law you have broken the most tightly held rule, and are Rightfully convicted of breaking it. And shall suffer such crime. You, Anna Johnson, are convicted to the taking, dealing, consuming, and smuggling of Human Souls to Demons. The murder of three other Angels, trickery of trust, and wrongfully accusing Angels to be downcasted from Heaven. In a matter of twenty minutes after reading this informant, you shall be forced back into trial upon other crime and receive punishments for doing so.
-The council of Angels"I found Arthur's room and knocked on the door. It swung open and I saw his suitcase sitting on the bed. Faintly, I smelled tea coming from a different room. One downstairs. There was a sudden, loud crashing noise and a shout from the same room. I spun on my heel, aiming to run to the rescue, but then tripped. Dropping the paper as I fell. But instead of landing on the cold ground I landed on clouds. I looked up to see vast amounts of white and Angels. "No. no no no no no!" I said, standing. I was in my Angelsona. "NO" I shouter at nothing. Then, a few larger Angels flew up and grabbed me by the arms. Dragging me off somewhere else. Maybe to trial. maybe to a holding cell. I don't know really...
-Arthur POV-
I sat down in a sitting room. Drinking tea that Ravis prepared. "Were is Toris and Edwurd?" I asked casually. Ravis stood on the other end of the room in a formal type pose. "They're out" Said Ravis. "Out? Out where?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm sorry, mr.Arthur" He added, his eyes filled to the rims with tears. "I didn't want them to hurt Toris and Edwurd" He sobbed. I stood up, my mind suddenly fuzzy and unfocused. "Ravis- what's going on?" I asked, swaying only slightly.
Then, in walked Ivan. Who didn't really look like Ivan. The curtains in the room suddenly closed. Blocking out the light from the afternoon. "You're going to hell" Said the Ivan copy. I knew it wasn't Ivan because the smile on his face was so different. So off. It kind of felt unholy.
"ANNA! RUN" I yelled. "She can't hear you, lover boy" said the Ivan. Then, everything in my sights got darker and darker until I felt myself falling and a dark laughter filled my ears.
