Jean was busy these days planning to the events to be held later. She's an outstanding member of Supreme Students Government so she needs to work hard for it. She misses being with friends.

Today was the Foundation Day of Victoria High. At the same time, Valentine's Ball tonight. Jean's snorted at the thought. Magvavalentine ball ng wala namang mga lovers.

Jean bade goodbye to her co-members immediately while it's their free time. While walking, she's asking herself who would be the date of Aila. None. That is not her thing. She chortled. How 'bout Jo?' She asked again. Oh, well. Do not expect her to come. She doesn't wear dresses nor skirts.

Her face fell. She walked as fast as she could, looking sideways to find the two, but she can't.

"Where are they?"

"Jean!" a shout at her back. Jean turned around to see Aila and Jean−foods on their hands.

"Hinahanap mo raw kami?" Aila asked.

"Oo, kanina pa. Kayo ah, daya-daya niyo hindi man lang kayo nagtaw−"

"Eh pano naman," Jo interrupted "— sabi nila —," she said between her munching "— libre merienda raw kayo sa SSG," she finished as she consumes the remaining particle of her cheesecake. Sira ulo talaga 'tong babaeng to. Jean darted silently.

"Oo nga, pero kahit na. Hmm, by the way, are you attending the Ball tonight?" she asked revealing her bare teeth, but immediately gone when the two slowly shook their heads.

"Ha?! Bakit naman?!" she squealed.

"Dress naman kasi eh. Alam mo namang hindi ako nagdedress," Jo answered.

"Ako naman, malayo. Tsaka hindi ko rin maeenjoy, maaga din kaming susunduin mamaya kung sakali mang aattend ako," Aila followed.

Jean distorted her face as a sign of disapproving their alibis. She's asking herself at the back of her mind why God gave her two killjoy friends.

"Nakakapagtampo ah. Ganyan kayo, ganyan!" she shrieked.

"Jean wag ka ngang magtampo. Hindi mo bagay. Nagmumukha kang unggoy!" Jo said down-heartedly. It was obvious she wants to taunt Jean. Aila chuckled.

"Gago ka talaga!" Jean interects. Talaga 'tong bugok na 'to kahit kailan, ang sarap tuktukan!

The three of them sat in the pathway. Jo was still eating beside Jean. Aila was laughing in front of them. She just stopped when something clogged in her throat.

"Buti nga," Jean told her.

"But I will try to attend. Someone wants to meet me," Jo butt in. "But then, I will not wear a stupid dress and I will never enter that filthy auditorium just to witness the couples in formal flirting."

"And what do you want to wear?"

"Plural ng pangalan mo."

"Ano kamo?"

"Hayyy nako Jean ang slow mo talaga. Gawin mong plural ang pangalan mo at yun ang isusuot ko!"

Jean looked at her away and thinks. Jeans. She drew a heavy breath at the answer.

"Walang h'ya kang Jo ka! Nakakatuyo ka ng dugo eh!" she said blowing her by fist. Aila, who was watching them, started to laugh hysterically. Jo thought she's enjoying the view.

"Aray naman Jean!"

"Kanina mo pa 'kong inaasar bwisit ka!"

"Haha. Para naglalambing lang eh."

"Lambingin mo mukha mo! Tse!"

Jean continued to punch her flabbily, and soon laughed at her own actions. Jo slapped him at the back for the payment.

"And who are you meeting with?" Aila changed the topic−the girl who will disappear and appear.

"Aldwin. A boy from the next village. Wants to court me, but rejected," Jo answered seriously. "I know it is just normal to reject someone, but – I don't know – there's something very different within me."

"Hay naku, tara na nga. Goodluck mamaya sa pagkikita niyo ng Aldwin mo," Jean told them. "Better go somewhere?"

They went to Town's Park and treat themselves. Jo, as usual, started to criticize people passing by. Aila laughed at her side comments. And Jean, who wanted to sink on her position, feels shame for the behavior of the two.

She smiled silently.

These crazy friends made her day.
