Morning, they used the bus-stand restroom to fresh up.They had idly for breakfast at a roadside cart. Again they roamed the streets for a house.

It was evening but their search was not fruitful. Feeling tired, they again stopped for a rest. Vetri was more worried for Abhi. He knew he could not carry on long searching for houses from dawn to dusk with her by his side.He had to give her some comfort and safety. He thought deeply for a solution.

Good things happen to good people they say. Amman showed them a way. They were spotted by Poongavanam. He recognised Vetri as the brilliant and soft-natured student. He told his driver to stop. Getting off his car, he rushed to them.

Poongavanam - Mr.P

Mr.P: Nee MK college la padikira engineering student Vetrichelvan dhane ?

Vetri nodded.Poongavanam introduced himself.

Mr.P: Unaku enna nyabagam irukaathu anaa en vaazhnaal muzhuka unna marakka mudiyaatha oru kaariyatha dhan nee enaku senjirukke...

Vetri was confused as he could not recall who Poongavanam was. He narrated the incident. Once Poongavanam was stabbed by baddies and left to bleed to death on the road. Onlookers gathered around and he begged them to take him to the hospital but no one came forward. Apparently Vetri came by. Seeing a human being suffer,he could not tolerate. He carried Poongavanam to the hospital and saved his life. He even donated blood to him. Poongavanam was semi conscious when Vetri helped him so he could see the face. By the time he regained consciousness Vetri had left. However he got to know Vetri's name and college from the hospital staff.

He went to college to meet Vetri and thank him personally for saving his life that was when he heard Vetri's speech and saw him receiving awards. He felt proud of Vetri and was waiting for him but Poongavanam had to rush off immediately when he received a call. After that he tried to meet Vetri but it never happened.

Poongavanam asked why they were sitting by the roadside. Vetri narrated his tale to him.

Vetri and Abhi exchanged looks. Abhi was scared as she saw some rowdies with Poongavanam. She gripped Vetri's arm tightly.Poongavanam sensed her fears.

Mr.P: Kavalapadathe ma, en pasanga thappanavanga kedaiyathu...thappu panravangala dhan adipanga pombalaingala deivama mathikiravanga... un appa mathiri enna nenachiko... Ippo ungala en veetuku dhan kootitu poga poren. Enakum pondati pullai irukku ma... thairiyama nee varalam...

Abhi was convinced that Poongavanam was not a pervert. She eyeballed Vetri that they could go with him and he agreed.

Poongavanam took them to his house. He introduced them to his wife.Their eldest daughter was a toddler. Poongavanam's wife welcomed them happily. She expressed her gratitude to Vetri for saving her husband's life.

Poongavanam shared their story and she pitied them.
