Aranganathan and family were relieved and happy when the verdict came in favour of them.Kalai was proven innocent and his name was cleared of the charges.

Except Kalai, Nandhini and Anbu no one seemed to care about Abhi.Vetri's family went home. Abhi was left stranded outside the court. She did not want to return to her house fearing Surya who threatened to let her in only if she removed her thaali.

Knowing his parent's hate for Abhi, Darshan was unwilling to take her to his house. He apologised for the same.

D: Ennoda guest house free'ya dhan irukku. Naan keys tharen nee anga thangikalam Abhi.

A: Thanks Darshan anaa vendaa naan manage pannikiren...

Though Darshan was her friend, she felt it was inappropriate to stay in his guest house. Vetri came with Chithappu and gang. Ignoring Abhi, he thanked Darshan for his help. Mouthing a 'bye' to him, Vetri kickstarted his bike.

C: Yeanpa Vetri, andha ponnu thaniya nikkithu'pa...veetuku kootitu po...

V: Chithappu, enakum avalukum ini onnum ille ava yaaro naan yaaro...Ava Appa enna veliya eduthaaru andha nandrikaga venumna avala ava veetula kondu poyee erakidren... yera sollu...

Looking into the mirror he twirled his moustache. Chithappu approached Abhi.

C: Avan dhan unna un veetula erakidren'nu solran'la...nee po maa avankooda...pettiya naanga kondu vandhu tharom...

A: Illenga paravayilla...naan paarthukuren. Avaru poratha irundha pogattum...

She said hoping he would call her home but Vetri went. Disappointed,Abhi stared in his direction.

C: Avan kedakaraan'maa... Vayasu ponnu nee court vaasal'la ippadi thaniya nikkarthu nalladhille enga kooda vaa'maa unna naanga kondupoyee veetula erakidrom.

Abhi thanked him politely for the offer but refused to go with them. Chithappu and gang also left the scene. She requested Darshan to leave also but he insisted he would only go after her. He flagged an auto for Abhi. She got in.

D: Please Abhi enga porennu enkitayavadhu sollu...

A: Paadhugappana edathuku dhan poren. Naan parthukuren...nee kavalapadathe...thanks...

The auto left.

Back home, Vetri told the truth to his family it was with Abhi's help that he managed to open the locker and found an evidence to corner Surya. He did not reveal what the evidence was though.

Kamalamma and Aranganathan gave no comments though in their hearts they were thankful to Abhi. Chitra rolled her eyes.Anbu sighed in relief as he escaped.Nandhini felt guilty for behaving harshly towards Abhi. She and Kalai requested Vetri to bring her back. He refused.

It was night.Unable to sleep, Vetri paced up and down in his room.His heart felt heavy.
