Abhi and Vetri were married for about a year and a half. They were trying for a baby.

Sitting on the bed in their room,Abhi stared at the pregnancy kit in her hand. It showed a negative sign.

She was hopeful she would be pregnant so when the result showed otherwise she was disappointed.

Vetri came home for lunch. Not finding Abhi in the kitchen, he went up to his room. He sat beside her and placed his hand on her thigh.

V: Madam, thaniya indha nerathula inga enna pannittu irukkeenga?

He found the box of the pregnancy test kit next to her.

V: Hey nijamaaa?? Test eduthaachaa?Kudu....kudu..kudu....

Excitedly he took the test kit from her hand. His grin narrowed to a frown seeing the single line.

Abhi leaned on his shoulder
Vetri held Abhi close to his chest. He rubbed her shoulder comfortingly. 

V: Freeya vidu...ellam nadakkumbothu nadakkum...

Abhi looked at him.

Vetri averted his gaze. He wanted a baby more than her.

V: Adhu...venum...oru 2-3 varusham kazhichu kooda pethukalaame....adhukku munnadi naama jolly'aa irukkalaam...enna solre?😍

He hugged her but Abhi wriggled free from his hold.

V: Yean'di thalli vidre?

He was stuck unable to answer her. Lifting his chin, she made him face her.

Abhi hugged him pulling him closer by his t-shirt and sobbed on his chest.

He wiped her tears.
