Suguru sprang to action and grabbed his friends phone from the floor, turning the bright flashlight off, before slipping it into his own pocket."Rintaro, is there someone in here with you? The door was unlocked." This voice echoed through the emptiness of the room, the sharpness bouncing from wall to walls in emphasis of his harsh tone. The twins immediately recognized this voice to be their father's; the last person they wanted to find them right now.
Rintaro thoughts became shrouded in the idea that this could be her last moment alive. Her mind fatigued with being hopeful and trying to get by each day. But, this one moment where she finally felt relief and hope and watched it all wash down the drain within a matter of seconds, severely drained her.
"I won't ask again, Rintaro. Is someone in here with you?" His voice was stern and focused. Forcing her to the realization that he would perform unspeakable things before his unknown watchers in a heartbeat if she didn't force herself to lie.
Rintaro dug her teeth into her bottom lip harshly to steady its unwanted tremors, "No Otosan, I haven't heard the door open." Her teeth stained red as she spoke from anxiously piercing her skin enough to draw blood.
"I must've left it unlocked." And with that meager attempt of a goodbye, the door slammed shut and his leave was confirmed.
"Rin I've got to get you out of here, now." Satoru lovingly held Rintaro's petite hands in his, the fingerprints of his thumbs rubbed against the back of her hand and with hidden urgency. "Let me help you stand."
"Satoru? Why are you down here?" The clan head's voice boomed through the pitch black space. His hint of anger and confusion within his tone sent shivers rippling through the trio's spines as they all froze. "Don't get close to that monster, she'll only hurt you again. And trust me, she wont hesitate."
Satoru released Rintaro's hands and placed his hands on each of her shoulders. He used a light force to push her into Suguru's arms. Who paused at the reintroduced presence of her weight and warmth against his chest and in between his thighs. "Toru...?"
"I'll be right behind you guys. Take care of her for me, Suguru." Satoru's hands clasped together at his chests height and with no other warning the two were warped from the hidden room.
"Toru no!" Rintaro yelled out in horror while forcing her eyes shut. Her twin had killed her, and his friend. But he wouldn't do that... would he?
"I'm gonna kill him for doing that without a damn warning." Suguru remained in his place to give his dizzying mind a moment to focus.
"We're not dead?" Rintaro hesitantly peeled her eyes open at the feeling of a cool breeze igniting a trail of goosebumps along the skin of her arm. Her head turned confusedly as she looked around the unfamiliar atmosphere.
Her curious eyes wandered towards Suguru, who still protectively clung onto her after her brother had shoved her into him. "We're not dead..." Rintaro noted Satoru's absence and simultaneously realized she was now alone with a complete stranger.
The lone twin forced herself from Suguru's hold and crawled towards the bed frame several feet from him, in fear. He could only watch curiously as she slouched forward and brought her knees to her chest to minimize her presence.
The second year hesitated but chose to slowly approach her. He didn't want her to be scared of him, nor lack trust in him. He crouch walked towards her slowly, wary of how jumpy she could possibly be as he got closer by the second.
