Noticeably, Rintaro woke up as a different person a week ago. She didn't eat. She couldn't stay awake for more than a couple hours at a time. And, she had forgotten almost everything introduced in the past couple months she attended Jujutsu Tech.

Anyone who knew her before the Tengen assigned mission would gladly say they were pleased to be in her presence. But, now it was like watching a complete emotionless stranger roam the campus and try to fit in.

Which directly lead Suguru astray in regard to  understanding his feelings. His mind felt that he couldn't possibly restart with Rintaro, especially when it took him several months just to get where they were.

But, at this moment where they were both alone with no other in sight, he felt closer than he's ever felt. Easing his heart to stay and wait patiently until she got better, or hopefully remembered. "We can go over the notes some other day."

The second year had missed more than a month of training and instruction. Thankfully, Yaga saw no problem with waiting until she was ready to return to class on her own. His only advisory was that she needed to catch up on the material with someone. Lessening the likeliness that she'd return to class clueless.

And Suguru, being the kind person he was, happily volunteered to help. His kindness pushed him to join the effort in helping her remember; even if Shoko said it wouldn't happen because "it was the cost of bringing someone back from death."

The two second years peacefully sat near the forest within the schools barrier, ensuring their safety. As a study spot, they resided at a wooden picnic table that was barely used. The raven haired male found himself wanting to be as close to her as he possibly could. Which meant voluntarily sitting to her left on the same side of the bench.

Rintaro flinched suddenly, the small breakage of a stick in the distance triggering her. "I'm sorry, what happened?" Her gaze darted from the woods to the notebook splayed before her. The accompanying male sighed unhappily to himself and shook his loose hair that rested on his shoulders.

"I was asking if you were okay." Suguru's farther hand left the corner of a page in his notebook. Slowly, he extended it towards Rintaro's resting arm. Their difference of temperature upon contact worried him, sending a wave of small bumps up his forearm. Lightly, he began to massage his warmth into the chill of her skin using the tips of his fingers.

"Yeah, I feel okay. It's just pretty out today." His gaze followed her dulled Six Eyes, watching their sporadic movement from the bench table, the notebook laid atop it, and then finally lingering where his hand rested on her forearm.

"We can take a break if you'd like, I know it's not the most enticing material." Suguru slowed the movement of his fingertips, scared he was overloading her senses. His twilight eyes traced down her body, reading the cursed energy she harvested. Nothing. Anywhere.

"How are you feeling? Truthfully." Rintaro quickly blurted out, stunning her male friend from his concentrated state. Her eyes lifted from his limb that contacted hers, to meet his softened purple eyes.
