He lifted his vein ridden hand from the warmth of Rintaro's thigh to shift the car into park, leaving just the engine idly roaring."And, don't you dare touch that door." He turned toward his door to lavishly emerge from the drivers side.
She watched him with curious eyes, looking for any type of misguidance that led her to believe he was a bad guy previously. He couldn't be. Especially not with the way he rebuttoned his tux so effortlessly, and definitely not how his hair swayed perfectly in the wind.
Suguru was treating her like she was royalty, like his purpose was to keep her on the crumbling porcelain pedestal that threatened to topple over. The door to her side was suddenly pulled open, yanking her from her clouded thoughts. His eyes happily squinted at her through his kind smile, and the only thing she could do was return it and join his hand that awaited her.
Passerby's crowding the sidewalk of the expensive restaurant paused in their meaningless quarrels to the glamorous couple that just presented themselves. Whispers of gossip and envy echoed under the shaded path, each conversation louder than the next.
He glanced down at her with worry behind his composed eyes at the slight tremble her intertwined hand performed against his, "Ignore them, they wish they were us." From his free hand, he tossed the silver keys to the valet employee before pulling his anxious date into the brightly lit eatery.
Rintaro's gifted eyes instantly wandered the nicely decorated place that sent her mind into a state of satisfying overstimulation. Glistening chandeliers hung from the ceiling, silk curtains flew freely through the open windows breeze, vanilla scented candles neatly sat at tables danced their scent into her nose.
"Your eyes are glittering, so I hope that means you like it." They briefly paused behind another couple who also waited to check in.
Rintaro snapped her attention to her date that was already peering down at her, "Suguru it's beautiful, but isn't it too much for you...? It seems expensive."
Suguru chuckled, his silky voice filling the calm vanilla tinged air. "Rintaro, don't question anything else tonight, please. You're worth the money." His thumb soothingly grazed the skin of her hand that was unknowingly still in his to ease every ounce of her worry that would cloud her experience.
She looked away from him shyly to allow her eyes the freedom of roaming the restaurant once more. "I just wanna know how you got us in here, the signs everywhere say 18 and up."
Her eyes widely hinted to the sign boldly propped next to them, where his eyes soon met. "Uh, we're close enough." Suguru easily shrugged it off before pulling her towards the smiling host who awaited them.
The two were then guided to a reserved table that gorgeously sat towards the peaceful back area of the restaurant. Complimenting their high priced seating, was a floral adorned balcony that overlooked the entire city as the tired sun bid its farewell for the few hours it rested.
Rintaro gasped and froze at the sight, which gave him the opportunity to pull her chair out for her, without her words of disagreement. "You know, you're really starting to remind me of my home." She returned her short attention to the pleased male while sitting down the most careful way she could to not interrupt the seams of her dress.
