The brunette stuck her tongue out at Satoru teasingly, who pouted in return."Honestly, I completely forgot what he was like when I was there. It's comforting to know he's the exact same person he was when we were kids" Rintaro smiled to herself, enjoying the feeling of Shoko's delicate touch as she continued to pick the petals from the flowers surrounding her.
Satoru, after hearing his name, leaned backwards so he could lay on his back. He lowered his head perfectly onto Rintaro's lap to rest and join in on the conversation.
Reflexively, her fingers released the nectar filled petals and her hands found themselves in the soft cloud of his hair. She looked down at him lovingly as her fingers began to twirl his snow white hair between them. "I'm just glad to be free." Her eyes glossed over with tears, which Satoru noticed. He shot a look to Suguru who then relayed the same look to Shoko.
"Yeah, I mean he is a pretty great guy. Especially when he takes us out to dinner and takes us shopping in the city." Shoko instead smirked back at Suguru, who shook his head in return.
Rintaro's eyes flashed over with a new brightness, amplifying the color of her eyes. She glanced down at her twin with a smile, "Toru pretty please, I've never been to the city." She put her hands together and gave him puppy dog eyes.
"You've been with Otosan before, you won't fool me." Satoru closed his eyes and turned his head away, effectively avoiding the puppy eyes. "Yeah but not recently, I want to see the city now. Please Toru, I won't ask for anything else ever again." He rolled his eyes and continued in his mental effort to ignore her. Suguru watched his best friend closely, waiting for him to crack.
"Yeah "Toru", pretty please." Shoko teased, making Satoru abruptly rise out of Rintaro's lap.
"That's for Rin only!" He yelled out. His hand reached out and pulled his twins head into his chest. Shoko was forced to let go of the now finished braid as he yanked her away. "And fine, only because Rin wants to go, and not because you forced her." Satoru pointed at Shoko accusedly before letting go of Rintaro.
Rintaro pulled the now finished braid over her shoulder to examine it, her eyes lighting up once she saw all the white pieces mixed in with the black. "Shoko, I love it. Thank you." She turned around to give the medical student a slight hug, "My hair hasn't been braided since I was a kid." Shoko returned a warm smile once she was let go from the brief embrace.
Satoru looked past his ecstatic twin and mouthed "thank you" silently to his classmate. Shoko gave an honest thumbs up back, feeling embarrassed about all the sudden emotions she was unwillingly roped into.
"Alright guys, let's head out before we get caught by the returning first years." Suguru rose to his feet and dusted his hands against his grass stricken pants. He extended his now dirt free hand to Rintaro, who looked up at him with a smile on her face as she took his hand and stood up with his aid.
"Alright shining knight in armor, my turn." Shoko slyly said with her intentions clear. Suguru shot her a look, knowing the exact game she was playing at while he helped her up as well.
"Alright Suguru, your turn. Cough up that cursed spirit." Satoru teased while picking the loose grass blades and forgotten petals from his pants and Rintaro's shirt.
Suguru scoffed after being voluntold that he was unfortunately tonight's transportation. He concentrated within his mind and manifested a glowing yellow ball within his palm. A few seconds later, his giant cursed spirit took its form in front of the group. "Alright Cinderella's, your carriage is here."
