𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲. A yawn of tiredness parted her lips as her arms stretched past the comfort of the blanket Suguru had to beg the housekeepers for, after they coincidentally soaked the ones that were on the bed last night. Suguru.

She smiled widely, reveling in the events of the previous night that blossomed a new type of love for her boyfriend after he showed her exactly how skilled he was in bed; and she's remembering more than just cuddling. She turned over in bed, overly excited to see his peaceful face releasing small amounts of serotonin from his dreaming mind.

But, there behind her, was nobody. Just a perfectly fluffed pillow and a half made side of the bed in her lovers place. "Suguru...?" She called, but no answer came, the only noise to answer was the soft push of the air ventilating through the room and the loud mumble of the reporter booming from the TV.

Rintaro pinched the corner of the blanket to remove it from her body before she swiftly sat up in the bed, curiosity taking ahold on her mind over his whereabouts so early in the morning. She slid out from the bed to receive her wake up greeting of the cold floorings contact, in his place.

She made slow steps to the bathroom, her legs plagued with the previous nights events to add to her body's soreness. "Suguru, are you in here?" Her hand yanked open the door with intent behind it, one that would happily surprise him if he was only brushing his teeth and mute to her calls by the rush of the faucet. But, there was still nobody waiting for her in the dark shadows of the room they had made joyful memories in.

She walked back out, just to throw her sadness filled body onto the mattress she just motivated herself from. In the silence of her huffs of breath she tuned into the TV alerting her of the current news in her native language:

"Good morning, citizens of our small town. Today, we are unfortunate to announce the untimely demise of our neighboring village that had been slayed just yesterday afternoon. As of right now, our emergency response teams have confirmed that there are no survivors out of the hundreds of people that inhabited the land. But, only two, have come up as missing, those being two little girls around the age of 5 that could be roaming around our streets in need of help, so please keep a look out for them today when you're taking a walk, or driving to the nearby market, as they could be a key toward solving the mysterious mass murder of our beloved nearby village-"

A sudden knock of aggression rang through the door, jolting the focused girl from her concentration she held on trying to mentally solve the mysterious murder. Her immediate thoughts turned to her boyfriend, who possibly locked himself out from her room after not realizing he didn't have a key.

She rushed to the door, eager to see his home resembling face after giving her such a scare early in the morning with his unexpected absence. She quickly threw the door open to be faced with a hotel employee adorned with the gold pendant of their name above their left breast.

"Good morning, I just wanted to relay the message of a caller who has blown up our phone the entire night, basically." The worker spouted with a quickened tongue of the contents of their visit. "Here's the number, please call them back, and try clicking off the "do not disturb" button or making sure your phone is plugged in. Thank you!" They beamed as they shoved a neon green sticky note toward her, which she confusedly took.

Rintaro allowed the door to shut in their face without any sort of thanks or response as her eyes scanned the scribbled number of the torn paper. The number was the same as the one she dialed to reach the school. But, why didn't it ring last night, especially when it rang earlier in the evening?
