He sighed looking down at her shaking legs that hadn't stopped shaking the minute they arrived at the airport."Are you feeling okay, Rintaro?" Suguru lifted his shoulder softly, an attempt to gain her attention and wake her up again. She lifted her head, now sitting up as she raised the window shade, watching the sunrise over the city's buildings. He hesitantly reached out to touch her shoulder, but stopped several inches away by her infinity.
What is up with her?, he thought. She continued to watch the outside atmosphere but laid back in her seat. Suguru tried again to touch her by reaching for her hand or her thigh, to still be stopped by her infinity.
He looked to his left at Satoru, who slept soundly against Riko's head emitting a quiet snore. He leaned forward to look at Riko, he became shocked to see that she slept on Satoru's shoulder. Okay, enemies. He chuckled to himself and shook his head.
The plane abruptly landed as the brakes screeched to a stop. Suguru tied his loose hair up before immediately waking Satoru up. It became his priority to make sure they were the first off the plane to avoid missing Yu and Nanami.
The seatbelt light dinged off as the tarmac reconnected to the plane, now becoming dormant. Suguru quickly stood and grabbed their luggage from the overhead cabins. He immediately took off for the planes exit, scared to miss the two first years.
"Rin, what are you doing? We gotta go." Satoru called out to Rintaro, waking her from her daze that beckoned her to stare out the window. She stood up immediately and reached for his hand by piercing a hole through his infinity with the use of her own just to hold his hand. She was scared to lose him in such unfamiliar conditions. Especially with the poison or curse or whatever it was that somehow appeared on her back.
Satoru eased, feeling content with Rintaro's first loving touch in days. He meshed his fingers in between hers and tightened his grip by squeezing her hand. She was surprisingly ruder this morning before the plane.
He never knew her to be a morning person, but today it was like she was someone else. Neither of the second years could pinpoint what was wrong with her. She mainly ignored them and tried her best to push them away. Yet, her small action made him feel at ease, ensuring him that his sister was still there deep down. And she was still there, she just wasn't sure how to act normal while knowing that something foreign was on her back, something that couldn't be fought off by her non stop reversal technique.
The twins and Riko made their ways off the plane and into the main seating area, now meeting up with the rushing Suguru. "Rintaro! Hey!" Yu called from a seat next to Suguru. He immediately jumped to his feet and ran over to the tired girl. "I haven't seen you in forever!" He smiled as he pulled her into a tight embrace.
"Goodmorning, Yu. I missed you too, where's Nanami?" Rintaro lightly hugged him back, knowing Yu, he was not the type to use brute force and was always soft with her.
She knew this one hug wouldn't kill her if she gave it to him, and plus she never turned down a hug from him, even if she did it would flag her as acting weird. However, this hug that went on for too long, irked Suguru and made him count the seconds on his watch.
How was he blocked out by her infinity, that she put up herself, but not Yu? Suguru's fists clenched and unclenched as he tried his best to remain externally calm, no matter how bad his insides burned. And then, Nanami marched over from the bathroom and he hugged Rintaro...
